Beginner friendly nutrients?

just as I thought.....you are coming across as another AN shill

yeah, we don't have the money to afford 5+ AN products so we use Miracle Grow
A shill wouldn't openly admit that an overly recommended product was too difficult or expensive. Try again.

you did not say AN was too difficult...you said "wouldn't want an overly difficult....." then throw in the snide remark about "ain't nobody got time or money"...insinuating that we are just a poor bunch of country bumpkins that can't afford your over priced snake oil, thus have to make do with an inferior product such as Dyna-Gro....and why did you pick Dyna-Gro to chastise, you are sounding a lot like Pik_Booster

no, you try again, because I ain't falling for your pathetic shill skills

I'm about to get my first batch of clones soon, and i'd really like a good cost effective nutrient set. I went to the hydro store the other day to get most of my stuff, and holy shit. Nutrients as far as the eye can see, every company has 10-15 different products. So what I am looking for is

1) solid, cost effective brand
2) easy to use line

Im new so I wont be getting 5 or 6 different products to grow the best shit in the area code. I'd like a straight forward 2 or 3 part nutrient set. I have a mentor, and he uses house and garden, but I've heard a little bit of hit and miss about that on these forums. Im not going with dyna gro because most people call it crap. But it is worth mentioning that the strains im going to start with from my mentor are going to be fast growing, low nutrient intake strains. such as Catatonic or Pitbull. I'd like something quality, and hear mostly good things about canna and advanced nutrients, but people are often complaining about price. So whats simple, effective. and not too expensive?
canna all day along with h&g bud xl and if u choose top booster but canna terra vega for veg and canna terra floors for flower along with either pk13/14 or i choose top booster and shooting powder

Wow. so do you sound like a condescending twat everywhere you go? or just here? I wasn't insinuating anything about anyone. I've read a lot of negativity about dyna-gro. thats all. Why dont you go bother someone else? you're the only person i've ever heard call someone a shill for a product THEY DIDN'T RECOMMEND. If you'd like to just spout off and run your mouth in ways that don't make sense 4chan can be a pretty popular place for that.

you started your first post on RIU by slamming a product you know dick all about...and you call me condescending...well I call you rather rude and arrogant but yet try to come across like you are honestly looking for advise.

I refer to you as an AN shill as you were the first one to mention their product....most people on RIU know it's over rated and over priced and recommended other products....but since no one mentioned your snake oil...you bring it up in an extremely condescending manner.

what you likely already know is that several top notch growers on RIU use Dyna-Gro...so why did you specifically condemn this product....once again you are sounding a lot like PiK_Booster

No, I dont know what several top notch growers use, because ive only been looking at noob feeding threads. If you need to reread the first post a 2nd or 3rd time please do. I said "Im not going with dyna gro because most people call it crap." I dont know a fucking thing about it, except that i read negativity. Nor did I claim to. And then in a later post I said specifically "I've just read a lot of negativity about it". Theres nothing "extremely condescending" about mentioning how AN is overly priced, to which you just agreed with. which is what I said. How do you have such horrible reading comprehension? I'm not responding to this ridiculous crap anymore. Go find a toddler to argue with if thats your goal.

go with general hydroponics maxi gro n maxi bloom,, both very easy for beginners and best nutrients ive used..no additives ,no boosters needed gro for veg bloom for bloom done...

I would recommend house and garden, its a solid nutrient.

But for a beginner you can't go wrong with floranova grow and floranova bloom. Use grow in veg and bloom in flower, it's very easy and self explanatory. Assuming it is soil of course.

If you are growing hydro you'll need a less thick nutrient, in which case I would recommend house and garden personally.
ive used the nova series in f&d and dwc systems with no problems..nova works well in rock wool,co-co, hydro or soil...its a great nutrient as long as its well mixed,,,it also seems to settle if its not being airated very well so a couple air stones and its all good in rez..

Is there a difference between some of the higher recommended brands? I was kinda leaning towards canna terra, But I was reading a lot about how people were leaning away from GH due to them being sold to scotts or something of that nature? people were talking about how the formula was likely to change. do you know anything about that?

I've already found a toddler to argue with, and you be that child who need to be taught a lesson that you don't shoot your mouth off about a product that many of top notch grower have used for decades.....and just where did you read all this negativity about Dyna-Gro.....was that PiK_Boosters journals? give a us some links or admit you were just shooting your mouth off just like PiK_Booster would do.

If you don't respond to this crap, then I just may gain some respect for you, but being who I think you really are, you will be unable to not hit the reply link

Maybe I will go with GH then, I've read about a lot of people swearing by it with a lot of success. Is there a difference between the maxi and nova series besides that ones dry and the other is liquid? Are they suppose to be the same formula in different delivery methods?

Also, before I forget. Is it wiser to buy these nutes online, cost wise. Or would I just be better off forgoing shipping and pick them up at a local hydro shop?

Ive been using the gh maxi grow and bloom in DWC for a few grows now. It might not be the best but its much easier to measure one or two dry powders than three liquid. And it works well enough for me. I usually order from amazon because no grow shops near me. If you buy more than $35 worth of stuff at a time, you can get free shipping, so i usually stock up on stuff i need every few months to get the free shipping.

Ive never personally used it in hydro or even in a res for that matter just because of what ive heard. But in an aero it would likely cause more clog to the misters, no?
