So the old me was more of an empathogen (MDxx, 2C-x) kind of guy and that has always made me prefer Entheogenic over Shpongle. Well, that's over simplifying things. It just seems that Shpongle's last few albums have really been hit and miss, like only one or two good songs on an entire album, the rest sounding more...silly than anything, just random noise without any real coherency.
That and the fact that Simon and Raja seem like total assholes always has me looking more forward towards Entheogenics (actually their last two albums were really disappointing as well) new album rather than Shpongles, but I'm sitting here on a few hundred mikes of AL-LAD (reevaluating my position on whether or not I truly am more of an empathogen kind of guy...) listening to Museum of Consciousness and have to admit that this may be the finest bit of psychedelic music since Spontaneous Illumination.
Any thoughts???
