It's looking good so far! Not stretching as far as I can tell. What lights do you have it under?

Also, welcome to the wonderful world of growing marijuana :) I started in February and everything's been going great so far. There's a few important things to take note of when first starting but once you have these basics mastered you'll have little to worry about. Check out this guide that I used when I first started: http://www.growweedeasy.com/basics

Just a little fluorescent cabinet light. Thanks I have been looking at that guide. I got a little pot for when it gets bigger and some more soil. When would I move it into the new soil/pot?

Wait until she gets about 6-8 inches tall then transplant. She should have at least 3-4 nodes before transplanting. Definitely get some stronger lights for vegging and flowering. Otherwise she looks good thus far. Welcome to Rollitup.org !

I'll have to read up on that. What do those acronyms stand for? Also how do you add perlite to the soil?
metal halide - mh
high pressure sodium - hps
*types of bulbs

Just mix the perlite in with your medium before planting. I don't know how much. Perhaps someone else can chime in with a ratio?

So it'es best to transplant under low or no light?
I've transplanted under sunlight every time I've done any transplanting with all my plants. Honestly as long as you don't leave your plants roots exposed you don't have to worry about it, just plop it in the new pot. Also, with the lighting, I recommend using CFL or T5 lights in the 6500k spectrum as they are inexpensive both to buy and to run as they don't draw as much power as a metal halide would. But once you flip to flowering id invest in a high pressure sodium light (150 watt would be good for one plant) as those really give you the dense buds that you want. You can flower under CFLs as well if you are on a budget but a HPS is def worth looking into. Remember, cool spectrum (6500k) for vegetative, and warm spectrum (2000-2600k) for flowering. Cannabis is a photoperiod plant so you will have to give it 12 hours of complete darkness when you want it to flower. Flip it over to the 12 hour cycle once you have your plant at about half the height you want it to be when its done. They usually stretch 80-100% in length in the first few weeks of flowering.

Also, one of the most important parts, PH every time you water to 6.5. This is very important otherwise you will get nutrient lockout and there will be slow if any growth at all. That was my first mistake when I started growing.

First of all, we were talking about the best way to transplant that results in the least amount of shock received from transplanting.... Read the post instead of just jumping in.

Second of all, pH for soil does not need to be 6.5..... So long as the waters pH is balanced between 5.5-6.5 you are fine

How would i measure the ph in the water? And also how to get a consistent ph level? I've just been using bottled water. Im planning on buying some distilled water and using that. Would that be fine? What kind of water would you guys use?

Buy yourself a pH pen or meter...

Buy yourself pH up and pH down...

These are essential things that you will need...

Keep in mind that the quantity and quality of what you grow will be determined by the effort, money and time that you put into it
