What light to use for flower?

I have my plants in flower for a week I got a t5 2ft 2 bulb and a hps 400w and I got 3 fem so far just wanted to see if anyone could help thanks

Throw your t5 in there as well for supplemental lighting... The more the merrier! Unless you need to use the t5 for another veg at the same time...

But if not buy 2 bloom bulbs for the t5 and run it

I can put both in there I used cfls 100watt I just got these other lights but I had a 4 ft fluorescence light for veg with the cfls work ok I got few little plants veg on the 4 ft flu but thanks for the info

T5 is not just the type of bulb. Please do not provide useless information. If it was just a bulb you'd be able to interchange t5 bulbs in other T fixtures such as T8 and T12. Each style of fixture is ballasted differently to handle each type of bulb... T5 moguls won't fit any other mogul. Also T5 lights are high output or very high output unlike the other T bulbs... Also to say "only run the HPS" when you have an extra fixture to use as supplemental lighting proves even though you are a well known member here that your information given is a lot to be desired.

Your t5 will help as long as it has the correct blue spectrums that you absolutely do need...usually only he more pricey HPS bulbs cover the blues that you need rather than just the reds needed for flowering....i use a 600watt hps 2 - 32watt t5 8k and 2 - 40 watt t8 10k

I talk from facts... Supplemental lighting is indeed helpful in penetrating parts of the plant with light, like the bottom of the plants where the HPS will not reach. I'm sorry you're a cheap ass that cannot afford proper room conditioning equipment like a simple air conditioner. That's not my fault though. And obviously all you know how to do is open your lips and let shit fall from them... So with proper ventilation and atmospheric conditions of the grow room supplemental light does help and can by all means make a difference.

I agree... Of course bulbs need to be swapped out to bloom bulbs and I believe I mentioned that above. But I hate when idiots come on here and make shit up... Saying an added light won't help production... That's just an idiotic comment to make! Anytime you add supplemental lighting to the space you ramp up production... And t5 is great supplemental lighting with the correct bulbs not to mention they put off very little heat. Throw an extra fan in the room and it'll be just fine

Well there genius... If you have these monster grows and know so much then you would know that there are other options for t5 fixtures than just hanging them from the top of the canopy smart guy... They make hardware to mount fixtures on walls horizontally or vertically.. Once again proving you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground. Regardless of the arguments, if you dont have some crazy efficient full spectrum LED's, it will be HPS in the proper footprint all the way!. The added fluorescents may help to some extent but it will not be worth the extra heat and power used. We are talking yield right?

Well I believe the forgetting part for sure, 20" for hps? Try 8"...and as for the t5 yeah i put mine in between the plants so it covers the top and bottom 10-8".....

Extra heat? I disagree... Heat isn't much of a factor using t5 if your room is properly ventilated... But I do agree HPS is the footprint and should be have any other light supplemented for that... But to say the t5 won't do anything or to say t5 can only be hung over the canopy is just ridiculous to even mention

T5s are for beginners, propagation or veg. Side lighting is what fools do to try and improve the grows of genetically inferior plants (that will never happen). Leaves are flat and don't take in much light from their edges. A HPS hanging at the right height is all you need. Stop being so fucking stupid. Yes I am fully aware they can be mounted vertically, but there is just no point. Added heat and power usage with little to no benefit is just plain dumb.

I've used T5s as supplemental side lighting before I think DAT does this too. You can get exotic aquarium and reptile bulbs and such for UVB.
