This is going to be an interesting and information packed competition coming up.
It is great that we all are running lighting from all different technologies and hopefully the results are shared honestly with no photo shop or cup swapping bs.

I take it you are looking at building a decently sized COB panel...rather then just a COB for your party cup..?

Both. I'm thinking of throwing 2 cobs on each side of.my inda gros. So 8 cobs total.and 1 more just for the cup comps.
Then eventually 3 panels that cover a 5x5 each. or 3 315w cmh's with cobs on the side of those too.

Might go Vero 29's and I don't think it takes that long. Veros are shipped from the Midwest too. My buddy pulled 90 grams of a 5 gal doing no till with one Vero 29. So they do perform very well.

Trying. It's been one small expansion every few batches since I started over. If you remember I was doing a 4x4 with 2 t5's. 2 year's ago. I'm trying to still fill up a 12x12. I'm a little more than half way there.

3 inda gro 420's. 2 pontoons. And 8 cobs is 1740 watts over a 12 x 5.
3 cmh and 8 cobs over another 12x5. Would be 1375 watts.
3100 watts to cover the same area as 6 1000w's
