First out door clone attempt, King loui planted straight outside from the despense may 26. Transplanted and caged into 7 gallon pot (dr.earth with a subcool ss mix on the bottom third) about a week ago, I figured 7 -10 gal.. would that suffice due to a late start? and I don't know what light cycle they had them running under so i was cautious with any investments worried they might start flowering small, I'm in southern Cali any thoughts on what I can expect am I to late into the season? Any insight is appreciated thank you

You can always go bigger, more roots = more fruits. If it pulls out easy go for it, if not don't risk the damage and stress. You'll be alright though if you don't. I go outdoors in SoCal too, one thing I recommend if you're using standard black plastic containers is covering the container with something white, like an old cover or shirt. This will keep moisture in and your roots cool. Hot sun everyday on the black containers aren't good for roots.

I think they already started to flower sadly : ( so I'm thinking 7 gal should be all they need right? can I expect them to get bigger still?

Southern Ca is already well into flower as our longest day is just over 14 hours and 20 min, June 21. Your plant looks clean and healthy and should do just fine in the 7 gallon. No need to go bigger pot at this point.

Im in so cal and no where near flowering. Just starting to stack and maybe stretch next week or so. .

Edit. Advantage of full day sun. I never had it before and normally would be flowering like you saybongsmilie

Well most strains would be in flower as we are under 14 hours of light and the days are getting shorter. I've done a couple strains down here that have really held out like you say. Also most plants started flowering a couple weeks before you can notice. Blue Diesel and GSC both have gone just below 14 hours for me but everything else snaps before.

757 what strain/strains are you doing?

I'm a little confused. All the plants in your recent photograph in "open show and tell" are totally way into flowering. You have others?

Nice plant 757. If the early plants go out end of May early June then when do the big plants go out?
Lols. The big ones go out around Mar 1. I started my beans outside and the ones that don't flower or drop balls go for the whole season.
