I got beat by a cop. He was playing a game called "put your hands behind your back" The object of this game is. The cop is sitting on top of your back punching you in the kidneys while yelling "put your hands behind your back" when you try to comply he then starts to try and smash your face into the pavement. When you reflexibly put your hands under your face to protect it he goes back to punching you in the kidneys while yelling "put your hands behind your back.

This of course happens after the game of "get out of the car" That's where 1 cop is pointing a gun at you and is yelling "put your hands above your head" while the other other is next to your drivers door pointing a gun at you to "open the fucking door now"

You cant do both at the same time. I guess they think it is funny

i agree with the class thing, the cop most likely thought someone from the lower classes that talks like she did
should be, "yes sir, no sir" and when she was not like that, it hurt his cop feelings and self esteem
so he decided to show her who's boss

Should you fear the cops? No in theory. But this is america and the police have been militarized to combat any and all domestic threats. So imo I am no safer than you, the difference being I do not make every contact with an officer tense by acting like they are gonna set me up. That doesnt mean be totally complacent around cops and let then do as they please. But as the laws are written in this country atm the cops have the power not the citizens.

I apologize if you are frustrated with me but I have no other way of viewing it through the eyes of a white male. I would expect the white female would be arrested short of her driving a benz because poor white people face prejudice from cops as well because you better believe if a cop sees me walking down the street of an affluent neighborhood I am getting stopped. Its happened when I was visiting my grandparents and walking their dogs, a cop stopped me pretty much just to get my info and make aure I wasnt casing their neighborhood for a b&e.
But being from like the liberal epicenter of the midwest I like to think I am pretty well balaced in my views of the world. I have nothing more to go on then what I have experienced in my life, but I cant say I have witnessed enough prejudice by the police to say that the white sandra bland would have a different ending. Maybe I watch to much tv tho.

It is not really like that here, the poor people are of all colours, mostly white

most of the black people here have been here a long time
the immigrants that come here are not black, these new immigrants are most likely the poorest in society

the cops will be more mean to a poor white chav person than a black person in a suit who speaks politely
perhaps your cops are different

if you talk with a lower class type of accent the cops might also be mean to you
whether cops are more mean because some of the poor people are also black i think will depend on the individual cops
picking on lower class people is something they can get away with here. they are allowed to hold this prejudice
while some of the cops here may still not like black people, they dislike poor people even more

the poor people are seen as leaches on society like a cancer

Please dont mistake me saying poor white people face prejudice as saying income inequality =racial inequality. Was just drwaing comparisons. Really tho if you level the wage gap I think people would find less reason to hate each other because they would be to busy spending their paper lol.

Yeah I think it was a dominance, control, compliance thing.


asking her to comply with a request like that shows the cop whether or not she will be a compliant person or combative. Being combative he can then press her into a situation where she may become detained, if she's compliant he gets to have his power trip and drive away like the big guy he thinks he is.

K a little context on that prob helps, let me put it to you like this. I dont have like any black people in my neighborhood (I dont think, have done a census so couldnt tell you 100%) so if the cops are picking on someone its probably me, not the nonexistant black people. but my friend yukon (hes black) makes me come to his place because he knows the county sherriff sits on my road and he doesnt even need the hassle. So long story short in my neck of the woods I am kinda the next best thing to fuck with. I know this all hust sounds like me bitching about cops being mean to me in the absence of black people to abuse but really just trying to say that I can relate to being the target of prejudice by cops not because of my skin appearance but because I dont present thr image of wealth even tho I certainly dont do bad for myself.
