Help please...leaf death

Some more details here:

Day 31 of flower. Canopy looks nice. Buds growing and frosting up fine. The malady represented in the pictures seems to be moving up and moving fast. No bugs or signs if them. (I generally let spiders I find, live though). Had similar in past but nothing this prominent.
3gl pots
Basic Promix, Jacks Citrus 20-10-20 scaled back from veg to 1/2 tsp pg every feeding. Started some epson, 4 feedings ago 1/8 tsp pg when I thought it was maybe mg deficient. It did not help. Note irregular browning on edges, yellowing. Leaves just fall off.
Any help appreciated!image.jpg

Can you post a pic of the whole plant ?
Here's a canopy shot from a couple days ago. I will isolate a plant this evening.

We're is the leaf at on plant. Top bottom middle
Started with larger fans on lower part of plant it is now in the middle and moving up

Whats your PH?
Sorry, don't know. Promix and artesian spring water. Had similar a year ago but not as prominent. Was RO water and a high P bloom nute then.

I didnt have the best of luck with epsom solving my mag issue, so I got GH's Calimagic and it did the trick (liquid form , maybe faster acting)
Root aphids cause this damage . Over watering causes this damage also. So 3 things here it could be....oh maybe 4 things ....(sry no coffee yet this am)...fungus gnats, wicked case of them ...

Overfeed - lockouts - pH imbalance, One thing lead to the next. Progressing but the plant is fighting!
Water only for 7 days - pH that to 6.5, reintroduce some Mycos. A basic AACT would work.
Reduce feeding to every other input (If you feed every water) and decrease to 25%, now add a little Ca/Mg......Not the best NPK ratio but it will work.

My question is still "what Pro-mix?" MP, CC40, HP, HPCC, PG, BX?

You know, your right! Root aphids do cause that look too!
Hmm, I would ask this to check on that....Does the plant seem to use less water or the pot seem more damp/heavy then "normal" at watering time?

Do you see any fliers? If they look like Fungus gnats but, smaller = ROOT APHIDS!!!
Hang a yellow sticky trap and look at the ones caught to be sure.....They look like fungus gnats but smaller!

Botaniguard once a week for 2 weeks then Orthene once a week for 2 weeks (root drench)......I know, too late now,,,,,Try the Botaniguard as it's organic and won't hurt the harvest this late..

I've been told imidacloprid works as a drench too BUT, do not dispose of this in the ecosystem....Causes colony collapse disorder in bee's.(proven fact now)....A VERY strong systemic poison (insecticide)!!!

If it is root aphids. You are going to have to sanitize EVERY thing and EVERY surface of your grow, along with treating the plants to effect a real cure! They can be the hardest thing to rid your grow op of!

Ya know...I just learnt the root aphids damage the other day.....I researched it because this is the second time i have found root aphids sucking on my roots in my clone box. None of my other plants have them ( I dug to my hearts content the other day and found nothing in my soil plants and no damage). I cannot pinpoint how the hell Im getting root aphids in my clone box only. The only thing i can think of is :Colorado, open grow, I havnt sprayed my yard for a few weeks, and all this damn rain is making bugs multiply like mad. Any thoughts doc?

I actually kinda find that observation as odd.....
BUT,,,do you use Neem meal and/or shrimp or crab meal? Those things in soils tend to fend off attacks by root pests quite well!

Sanitize the clone box and everything around it.....be sure to get the neoprene rubber WELL or dispose of them and get new ones.

Im just using the reg ol' germination station cloner box and using riot cubes. This is the second time Ive walked with it to the far side of the property (15acres) and released them into the wild;) Then the box went straight to the dishwasher. I do spray the gals and medium with neem once a week. Moths brought me rust mites one year and devistated my whole grow. Maybe its them mite carrying bastards idk. If I see moths slip in I get the shop vac out and suck them up out of the air lol. I never seen them get into the clone box tho...so still scratching my head over this. sorry to hijack your thread bravedave...but this info might help in some way now or in the future

Will write more this evening. Its basic Promix sold fot $14 at the big box stores 2.o cu. ft. Peat, dolomite, perlite. I add additional perlite ( not excessive) and Mykos.

Checked pretty thoroughly for bugs. See nothing crawling or flying. No webs on plants. Let spiders live in the drain tubs if they choose. Watering about every 3-5 days when pretty dry. Water to runoff point. Seems like i give them very little feed compared to my past grows. Last grow did not have this but the routine was the same.

I fixed it. Everything is ok.

Were the damaged leaves from farther down on the plants? Older leaves cash-out it's no big deal when it happens, you're half way into flower, not much you can do anyway but I don't think it's a problem.
Started with larger fans on lower part of plant it is now in the middle and moving up
Haaa, see! Those older leaves are far away from the light and they shed them as the plant matures.

I would say ph, over water, or root problem. I have also seen it in the occasional plant for lack of reason. I think it might have been the tap water. I would test the ph and it was fine every time. That doesn't mean there werent spikes or dips. Also guerrilla growing sometimes does not allow for the best care so you see some rough plants.

hmmm watering every 3-5 days....maybe alot of water...back er off to dry out in 2-3 days. Its hard to explain why you'll have a perfect grow last time and this time you are doing the same routine and getting different results. This is the shit that makes us go "huh" ....but these gals will have different needs sometimes, this one is a root problem (build up, soggy roots- cant uptake the nutes etc). Like doc and whitebb said...lets start by giving less water and see how it goes from there

You changed your fertilizer. I wasn't very impressed with jacks tbh. Is jacks citrus for fruit trees? They always lack some micro nutrient molybdenum, boron ect.

you should get yourself a pH tester next time you have the cash even litmus paper will tell you a lot, you'll find it useful just to be able to rule out pH as an issue and move on to the next test.
