Permanent marker on heatsink behind cob

OK so I marked my heatsink with permanent marker for placement of my cobs. My concern is will the remaining tiny amount of permanent marker ruin the TIM between the cob and the heatsink? I've tried to wipe it off with iso but it won't all come off. Is there something I should use to get it off? Or will a tiny amount not affect the junction? Any help here or experience would be great. It wiped off nice and easy the first day but now that I've waited a few days it just won't come off completely

what kind of iso are you using ? at least 91%? I use sharpies all the time and there is no way any marks are left with iso

Dawn dish soap and rubbing alcohol. I clean and prep using those then use gloves to prevent leaving any oil residue behind. Apply your TIM to the cob and spread it out till you have a nice, thin, even layer.

My advice.

I've tried to Clean it with 99% iso and it won't come off. You use both combined or one then the other

Soap, wipe, water, wipe, alcohol, wipe.

Mineral spirits, acetone, or degreaser would be my next bet. If that doesn't work hit it with a palm sander.

Realistically, it probably won't effect much if you leave it on there. but may as well do it right.
