You can't buy alcohol or cigarets with food stamps, once again your talkin out your ass
Harrekin clearly did not say that.
This is what he said: : "Sell foodstamps for 50% of their value"

Even though he resides in Ireland, he knows whereof he speaks...SNAP benefits can very easily be converted to cash with which to buy booze and butts...the 50% pay-off reflects what I have seen here in SoFla.

What if you are able bodied and fully employable, but just a lazy fuck who would rather steal from the poor?

Is it OK to steal in that case?

I'm sure the percentage of people selling them to people who need them justifys the program...there will always be people breaking the law that's no reason to ignore the people who need it, and since they use EBT cards it makes it a lot harder

Amazingly enough, there are those among us here on RIU that will say that we should not be judgmental...steal away with no worries...circumstances do not matter...if the oppressed feel a need...stealing is easily justified...
WOW!

I know.

The OP was a dumb question, meant to mislead. No context. It begged for a black and white answer, and when one was given, by Harrekin, several people got all pissy.

Don't steal stuff. Somebody else worked to get that stuff. It's pretty fucking simple.

They sell their benefits to merchants with EBT terminals, the merchants give the EBT beneficiary 50% of the cash value available on the card.
For example:
If the EBT card holder is given $200 per month, he then gets $100 cash for buying whatever he desires from the unscrupulous merchant.
Booze and Butts and whatever.

I do not ignore those who need the benefits and do not convert the card to booze and butts, I am simply stating that the system is ripe for the picking by those who do not care about nutrition...
Booze and butts are their government supplied priorities.
Fraud and abuse are rampant.

This should be so easy, but for some of us nowadays it's not.
Everything is relative, morals be damned.

No one deserves to starve, so I would say yes it is alright, but you are still hurting others by stealing, so it's a catch 22.

The USDA?
This is very low based on my experience, and you may be accurate in your assessment of the type of people I associate with...hahaha!!!

Include erroneous payments to recipients because of errors on the part of the government or outright lying on applications, and the overall loss to the food stamp program is about 4.07 percent, according to the Department of Agriculture.

so taking food/money from someone else is justifiable because you fell on hard times?no honest, self respectful man would steal from someone else to feed their family.....its wrong......if you want something bad enough then you should be willing to work for it....
and what kind of message are you sending your children?stealing is ok in certain situations?

if you are a good person and were taught well then you will be ok

i find it sad so many people condone stealing....times are a changin, nobody wants to work for anything anymore
