Harvest time, how long do I have?

First time grower, my Bubba Kush plant is showing some trichomes with a hint of amber. Being my first time, it kind of caught me off guard, and I only started to flush yesterday. I would like to get a good flush before I chop, and due to my work schedule will not be able to harvest until Friday (today is Sunday). How long do I have until my harvest window is closed and my bud starts to deteriorate?

Pics of the tricombs would help, also one of a nice bud from about a foot away. Pics are the only way to tell ya anything on when your plants done.

Ya, hempy buckets. Friday is the soonest I can do it, but it will be done Friday for sure. Just wanted to make sure they would be good for that long.
I have also heard it's beneficial to keep the plants in darkness for the last 72 hours or so before harvest, any truth to that?

Dunno. Most guys i know just cut em before lights on.

Friday is good, keep flushing till then, the Amber triches are just starting, by Friday you will have a good mix of cloudy/Amber mix.
