65% humidity too high for drying?

You can take buds that are completely dry and put them into 65% humidity and they will grab the moisture up.

It might take you like 2-3 weeks to dry if they even dry under that. I lived by the ocean for a while so the humidity was like 30-50 and I would take out a dusty nugget and toss it on the counter to rejuvinate it lol.

I've trimmed the leaves off but I'm hanging the buds with the branches on still. Haven't got to the curing part. Just wondering if theyll do fine drying like that with the humidity that high.

I'm usually in the same situation.
70% humidity, trimmed and still on the branch to dry.
It takes me two weeks, at least, and even then I put them into a large sealed box with a mini dehumidifier to finish drying before curing begins...

LOL holy smokes. That's quiet a bit of time. I was hoping to be done in 4-5 days. Guess that's not gonna happen. What about mold issues? I'm kinda worried about that.

I haven't done this, but I heard that if you shred up a brown paper bag -like in a paper shredder- and then take your branches, put them in another big brown paper bag (like a grocery bag, I mean) with the shredded paper and then clip the bag shut with a clothespin (or whatever) then the shredded paper will draw some of the water out of the buds. Then you replenish the shredded paper as needed. Check on it a lot…stir it around a bit…take it all out then put it all back in with fresh dry shredded paper…repeat…etc.

I dunno…like I say….I only read about this technique and haven't tried it, myself….but I think I would if I was in your situation.

But just don't use newspaper or other kinds of paper because that stuff has ink on it and chemicals used t process the paper…just use regular unbleached, brown paper bag paper.

Your buds will be fine......stop panicking......put a small heater in the same room your drying In and set it on low(22-24) this will be fine this will draw the moisture out the air and keep your room at a steady temperature....do this and it will perfectly dry in about a week......wait until the smaller branches r rigid but don't snap(try and catch them just before the branches turn brittle)then strip your bud from their stem into Brown paper bags(this draws the moisture from the inner bud and makes it moist again.....leave in the closed BROWN bag for 2days opening a few times a day to allow fresh air in then jar them up and start your cure....the trick is to allow your bud to lose the chloroihyll smell(hay)and let the true flavour of the bud seep out....

yes but don't have them blowing directly on the buds. angle it away so the airflow gently caresses each bud like a blanket around a baby.
