Ok. I will try to get more but damn they are expensive. I can get one more for now, and for the other 2, I've basically encased them in a tinfoil box with big 3x3ft mirrors an s#$% angled, so they are getting a lot of bounce back in light for now. I can't even look inside its so damn bright, even with my shades on.I would use one per plant minimum.
Those are pretty slick. Very interested. Thanks for the headsup.. If you stick with LEDs, learn about COBs. (Everyone will keep saying this, but it is for your own good. I had to learn the hard way.)
Seed size doesn't matter, though tiny ones seem to fail sprouting more often it doesn't determine the adult size of the plant, that's all (mostly) genetics. A seedling can be more robust from a big seed, for sure, in my experience. And yeah, seedlings don't like a lot of heat, but that LED is fine as long as you don't get it too close. My buddy has a very similar setup and seedlings blow up quick under it. That's my $.02. Good luck!Ok. I will try to get more but damn they are expensive. Heres another question for someone to bite at, I keep hearing not to grow your seedlings under a lot of light. I decided to go against that theory as a test with my Northern lights auto, and used her under the LED since she popped up. Not gonna lie, she's a big bugger and was huge when just a few days after popping. So is it because I'm using LED and low heat?
I also used a huge seed, if that made a diff?
Thanks. I'm about to order a tent actually, as my home made setup is a bit of a pain in the arse to move around. I've been messing around with raising/lowering the plants to the LED and it seems to have quite the effect on stretch etc. I was thinking about LSTing 4 plants on my next grow under 2 X 300w LEDs ... which is why I was asking about if I should pick up the second 300w LED for a tent.A lot of the information on here is from trolls, you will be fine with 2 plants under 100w, I have 4 under 100w and they do perfectly fine.
If you are looking for bigger plants then raise + add another 100w and then continue, best advice I can give you is to use a trellis as well as a small grow tent. Those LEDs shine in tents.
If you go for 300w make sure that it is outputting at around 270 at least. Otherwise I would say go for a 600w that runs at 300w. If you don't understand how I put that just let me know I will get some links to compare panels that have 300w of actual output and ones that say they are 300w but put out much lower to half.Thanks. Testing out two Vipar 600watts right now, I will take some pictures tonight or tomorrow when I have some free time. They are doing their job for sure, I think each light was like 150-200 for these ones. I also have some 1500 dollar panels but I wanted to do a side by side .I know what your saying. I've dabbled a bit into the laser diodes/drivers etc. I'm not looking for mega grows but I also don't want small worthless crop for what I'm saving in power either.
Cheers
Hey, I'm using a no namer called Hollandstar. http://www.amazon.ca/Hydroponic-300w-100x3w-Spectrum-Blooming-AC85-264V/dp/B00E9YT3WY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1445375950&sr=8-2&keywords=HollandstarHey 420PyRoS, not to step in on your thread, but what 300 watt LEDS are you running? I am new to this game and only have one outdoor grow under my belt and one indoor grow under way which is under CFL, want to move to LED, especially for flower. I can't do HPS/MH cause there is just too much heat and I have no way to get rid of it. Just a butt load of different data out there, so figured I would ask someone using LED's what they have if they like them... Thanks!
Currently I'm buying the beans but once I start getting a few grows under my belt I'm switching over to cloning. Just trying to get another room ready for it all so I can keep some happy mothers. I'll have a tent coming shortly and I'll try to do as you suggest by trying a S.O.G and go from there once the mothers are ready. Grabbed a few Barney's Farm LSD females to try outI don't know what everyone is posting, but I just flowered 5 plants under a Marshydro 96x5watts, Scrog'd em and I got some pretty decent sized colas, I keep upping my plant count, so I could imagine with S.O.G, I could fit 20 plants in SOLO cups or 10 in some 5x6 square pots. It wouldn't hurt to try it out, in less your paying for beans or clones?
I'd root as many clones as i can and fill up your tent or area under the lights and see where your plants stop getting enough light to determine for your self how many your light can handle
Thanks 420PyRos, I appreciate the LED info. Try the cloning, I did and it works well. These are my indoor plants now, I took clones of from the outdoor grow that was in flower so before these go into flower I want to get those LEDS... I need to learn the ropes and clones are a cheap way to play with the plants to get the feel for how things work and get the feeding down. So far I had 3 plants outdoors that were just dumb luck to grow, but I got 6oz wet off of 2 and its about dry and only like 2-3/4 oz. dry. I have heard good things about LED's and good harvests, but some say the opposite. Thanks again for the LED info, let us know how the tent setup goes and how the grows work out.Currently I'm buying the beans but once I start getting a few grows under my belt I'm switching over to cloning. No problem. If you have any more questions about it I'll let you know. I'm pretty type A from what my wife says, so Im pretty anal with my grow and this LED has been the least of my worries. Hope you get some good smoke off the 3oz! Nice indoor, hope mine turns out to be something like that someday! Thanks 420PyRos, I appreciate the LED info. Try the cloning, I did and it works well. Are you saying I'm a troll? If not, what are you replying to?A lot of the information on here is from trolls, you will be fine with 2 plants under 100w, I have 4 under 100w and they do perfectly fine.

The reason I went LED is because atm I'm seriously confined with space and hydro costs are ridiculous here. Also to keep heat down. Trying to get the most light for the cheapest hydro rate. I figured LED vs other lights would be more efficient with similar lumen outputs. First grows, just learning also.Yo OP, for the price of that unit you should get an HPS setup instead, if you're bothering on getting a tent. Unless keeping your grow small is part of your goal then that's a lot of money for that light, in my opinion. This would be a better option, IMO.
