I've wondered that since I've been old enough to know what a president is. Quick, name one that doesn't play the God card.

Hell, Reagan had an astrologist as an adviser. Funny thing is, I can't say that's any less credible than a reverend.

I don't mind the people of faith as a whole, some of them have their hearts in the right place but no, I don't want people who think the Earth is just a few thousand years old making decisions for me. I'm on the fence over who is worse, the people who believe that, or the people who SAY they believe that if it helps them get elected.

I didn't even know that was thing when I was younger. Talked to my first Jehova Witness when I was about 30 and was blown away. Started asking and found out there are lots of other religions that believe that. I think it was based on an extrapolation of the population from Adam and Eve and like many things, it's repeated enough for some to believe.

It's all crazy to me(religion), but that one aspect might be the craziest. IDK, maybe the 72 virgin thing is just as crazy. I wonder which camp is bigger? I know religious people who actually believe in science, they just credit God for it lol.

Religion is based in faith. I saw people claiming the stimulus created 4M jobs in spite of all evidence saying otherwise. Isn't that faith based too? I saw people claim that you could keep your doctor or your plan. Isn't that faith based too?

I saw a man win a Nobel Peace Prize and then go out and set a record for most countries bombed by one leader. Isn't that also faith based?

I saw a country invaded based on weapons of mass destruction and over 80% of the government and public approved. Isn't that also faith based?

I bet you still believe the ACA is responsible for 30M people who were uninsured now being insured inspite of zero evidence.

Find any report out there that shows an increase in insured other than medicaid which they could have gotten anyway but waited until they were forced. Seriously, just one that shows an increase in insured citizens that are not medicaid.

Some people believe that access to a high deductible insurance is the same as access to healthcare.

There are lots of things about faith that bother me. I'm with you on the young earth thing being perhaps most troubling though.

For all we know he lies well, and totally intends to undo war on drugs, is just playing along to get along, then he'll go all black dynamite on their asses. One 4 year term is more than enough time to undo a lot of shit, given the right guy.
