Ben Carson says he would “intensify” the war on drugs

Not sure if you're purposefully obfuscating his position or not, but he's very clear that the tax rate he's suggesting is for the highest earners, the 1/10 of 1%, the people making tens of millions of dollars per year. He's not talking about raising poor and middle-class people's taxes to 90%.

So recreational legalization of cannabis is the only thing that matters in a presidential candidate.

Hear ya loud and clear.
What do you think is more important? What else is responsible for so many domestic societal problems? What else keeps prisons full of nonviolent people leading to the biggest prison population in history? By the way 2.2 million people is more than .7% of the entire US population. It is also the biggest cause of violence in Latin America, since the US consumes so much fucking drugs but I'm sure you care very little about the problems we cause for our Spanish speaking neighbors. There are only a couple issues out there that are as important as this.

Which website did you think you were posting on?

I replied to some of your posts to me and they were deleted. Do you know why they were deleted? They were deleted because the mods were afraid of letting me hurt your feelings.

None of your posts directed at me are ever deleted. Do you know why your posts are never deleted? Because you suck at this.

:)
You seem upset. Why are you so mad @fdd2blk ? You should be grateful the mods let you keep your sockpuppet even though everyone knows you're a snitch.

I have to agree with you on this point. The war on drugs isn't just a failure, it is the single most destructive thing that has ever happened to our constitutional republic.

I think decriminalization is the first step on the federal level.

So you do think it is an important issue, and that wasn't sarcasm before.

Reading ya lima charlie...
Decriminalization then that leads to eventual legalization after the public realizes that marijuana isn't dangerous.

Not something that can be done without the states and would take time.

Would require the Congress have members that approve of Decriminalization and then a Congress that approves of legalization.

Think about that and how long it would take to get majority votes in most states so that the Congress would vote for legalization.

Not something the president can do in their one or two terms. Need the people to vote for congressmen that will vote for Decriminalization.

But what if there is no Decriminalization supporting candidate as an option or worse it could be a candidate that supports it but goes against how you feel on everything else?

Decriminalization is a waste of time. The executive branch can reschedule. You keep repeating decriminalization in an attempt to back off from your comment which conveyed that you don't think the issue is very important.

The issue is extremely important.

How fast do you think it could happen? And how do you think it would?

I think it is extremely important. I think that it is something that a site such as this should focus on regularly and debate, particularly in this subforum. I think it is asinine to contend that it is not an important issue or to ridicule anyone for suggesting that it is a very important issue.

That 90% number was from an interview he did with CNBC. He didn't call for it, but he didn't take it off the table either.
http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2015/05/26/3662773/sanders-90-percent-tax/

In an interview with CNBC’s John Harwood, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who is running for the Democratic presidential candidacy, said he could back a 90 percent top marginal tax rate.

Harwood brought up that some have likened efforts to combat income inequality to Nazi Germany. Sanders noted sarcastically, “When radical, socialist Dwight D. Eisenhower was president, I think the highest marginal tax rate was something like 90 percent.”

Harwood followed up by asking, “When you think about something like 90 percent, you don’t think that’s obviously too high?” to which Sanders replied, “No.”
what's wrong with a 90% tax on income over about $10 million dollars?

oh, i forgot. you are fighting an imaginary war against the imaginary threat of democratic socialism, which has left european contries bathed in prosperity and happiness.

well, good luck with that klanman.

Have to respectfully disagree. Slavery was the most destructive. WOD drugs is bad, pretty stupid and politically motivated, but slavery was despicable. America hasn't been the same since.

The next most destructive issue will be Islamic terrorists with their caliphate, shariah law and such. Tonight after "work" dad isn't planning on taking little Ackmed to baseball practice, trust me.

Just ask Germany's chief of police what he thinks of Muslims now. :wall:
