I was hoping to get one that goes lower for hash :-/ like 200f would be nice. But if this one is quality and is able to withstand the force your putting (the lbs of force I'm putting is only 600lbs) maybe I should go with this one.

I actually put it in my 4700 lbs press and that is when it started really cracking but the plates still heat up lol

So how is the press coming along? The arbor press does not look like the pneumatic automated kind you described to me in your previous thread. Not as easy as it looks huh? BTW just because you slap a made in America tag on something doesnt mean it was. People make a mistake with made in America, opposed to "assembled in America" this is a big difference in quality. But hey what do I know!

Well fuckkk 600 lb press should handle it with a damn smile. Can't wait to get a new straightener and try again.

You did apologize on my wall, but I have to retort.

I actually met with the owner of air-mite and their sales manager Chuck, good guys Bob the owner was actually wearing a mechanic's suit grease on it dirty hands working on the floor with his 30 other employees actually working on some hunk of metal stopped everything he was doing gave me a tour of the shop it is a giant machine shop that makes these thing. So they are actually made in the USA, I watched them put one together I think the dude was Polish that was building it. the regulators on the side are made in china or japan. you can actually call air-mite and ask for Chuck and he will tell you I was there.

The pic I posted was for someone that was asking about my old method...

Here is what I working on the plates aren't right and the pid controller is a piece of shit so scraping that and going with Omega I believe they are actually US made as well it sure isn't from china shit from them is pricey

Yeah the reason he posted those pictures and explained his old method was because I asked him about it.. Because myself and many others are still using hair straighteners so we all help each other in anyway we can..

actually 23 it doesn't go down to 1 put it at 7 which is the lowest and it is weird, if you turn it up to 30 when it gets up to temp the light turns green but when turn all the way down I know it is at temp but it will stay red... also it has a build in shut off after an hour which is very handy

I don't know everything not by a long shot and the older I get the less I realize I know, but I gladly share what info or techniques I do know or use with the community.

I have basically given a walk through om how to make Rosin Technologies press for almost half the price.

I don't believe it was the plates from Rosin Works I believe it was the pid controller from High5vape. You have to keep in mind surface area and how much force you are using when ordering plates from anyone, that is the mistake I made.

That is kinda weird how they have it set they way,but I'll place the order today for that unit!

I just saw you can get a combo from them plates and pid controller and coils .

I found some sic plates in England yeah england. That are $150 usd per plate for 4"x 4" just for the plates. No internal coil or anything. I don't even know how you would go about internally heating those. They do custom sizes too.


At rosin works prices. It would cost $500 to build an arbor press one with 5x5 plates. Or $400 with smaller plates. Now I see why medisun marked his up to $650. If it costs him $500 per press that's about a 30% markup which is normal. So I wonder how high 5 vape is releasing one at around $300. Theirs might suck considering their pid's / enails. But they might have much smaller plates.

high5 didn't make the plate 2 separate companies

you also have to keep in mind surface area
on a 4x4 plate it is 16 divide the amount of force, a 1 ton arbor pres for example is 2000 lbs so 2000/16=125 psi...

rosin technologies plates are 1.75x2.75 = 4.8125 with 2400lbs of force 2400/4.8125= 498.7 psi
