Distance!!

How would you know without knowing the wattage? You are basically saying the distance doesn't matter between a 1000w and 400w. Very odd.
You can tell by looking at the plants. It doesn't matter what the wattage is, if the plants aren't displaying signs of heat stress then you can rock that light as close as you want... Until the plant tells you otherwise.

You're gonna take offense to this because that's what newbs do, but you've only had 1 harvest so of course you don't understand how to read a plant.

Folks with only 1 harvest are so quick that pass out advise and act like they're master growers.

Whats up bro, how ya been?

Btw if you can get your temps in line you can bring that bulb down to 10-12" if you want. I rock mine at around that distance with zero signs of heat stress. They're not air cooled either.
Just trying to get by bro , how have you been doing ? I gotta 4" fan rigged up that blows directly across the bulb...well blows the heat out from under the reflector so I could probably drop it lower .

Is the distance between the plants and light goood?? Please replyView attachment 3530457
Learn to read the plant, it will tell you everything it needs if you know how to interpret what its saying. You do have very early signs of heat stress, but nothing to worry about at this point. If the edges of those leaves continue to curl up and create what looks like the shape of a canoe, then you need to move your light up a little. Google cannabis heat stress and get familiar with how the plant tells you its hot.

keep in mind the plant will also do this when ambient temps are too high as well. This is an overall sign that the plant is not comfortable with its current temp.

No shit sherlock! The OP did not specify crucial factors like, how long he has had that light on that plant. For all we know, that is a new light and having a 1000w light that close will burn them. How long have you been growing, BE-OUCH?

Another thing, don't quote me, BE-OUCH!

That's whats up. A fan blowing in between the light and the canopy is text book. So you're on point there. Go ahead and lower the light a little and see how the plant responds
