Struggling with low humidity

Setup:
80x80x160 (cm) grow tent
Carbon filter and 4" extractor fan
12" desk fan
400 watt HPS bulb

Day 10 Seedling, Autos - Automatic AK

Plants look fine but everything I read tells me My humidity is to low, it is sitting at 30% at most during lights on, after a water. I've put a wet cloth in there, my watering jug and a glass of water which hasn't done much. I've got the desk fan and extractor fan running with all vents open to try keep temps down as that is really at recommended maximum (33-35c) I'm going to start opening the window during the day to try drop it some more but it's starting to get cold here now.

They are autos so really want the best conditions as time is limited.

Again, like everything I've not been sure about there are so many different guides, posts and discussions that say completely different things. I don't know if I'm worrying to much about things but it's better to check.

So what's people's advice/opinions?

Thanks.

I'm transplanting to bigger pots tomorrow which obviously means more water and surface area. Will this increase it? I've also got spray bottles I could use if anyone's got advice on them?

I've just misted the inside of the tent with a fine spray. Instant results. I can do this a few times a day. Don't think its going to give me consistency tho. I will get one for my next grow.

There are even smaller models. It will not hurt to add the humidity even without pot plants. Especially in winter and your respiratory system.

I will get one if I get results from this grow. I want to make sure I can do it with the basics. Would be silly to spend money if I can't manage to keep up with schedules etc.

over 30•c is too high. Maybe exchange more air. You will get heat stress. Small humidifiers are £20 or so from any growshop

Managed to get temp down to 30c, I've read a lot of places that 35c is absolutely max though? Got humidity up to 30 but not looking like it's going to pass that. May have to go to Argos on the weekend if there's no other solutions.

You really dont need humidity...its not going to improve your plants much. I live in a dry environment, so my plants get used to that enviro real quick.
Well I'd read that they adjust and will be fine as long as humidity and temps are consistant. But I'd also read if humidity drops below a certain % they won't grow well. with being a beginner it's hard to know which information to follow lol. Can't wait to get a few grows under my belt!

I agree with diabolical, I live in a place that is mostly dry and super cold during the winter and I have no problems. A little misting every once in a while in the veg tent makes me feel better but I don't see much of a difference.
Ok, I'll just see how things go then. There's a humidifier on offer in Argos for £20 so may just get it anyway and use it gets really low. Think it's 3.2 litre and can be adjusted.

OK but go ahead and pick up some fungicide and some peroxide incase your humidity gets too high and causes powder mold. Once you get powder mold its damn hard to get rid of..hence why I keep my shit as dry as possible. Do yourself a huge favor and research powder mold and botrytis a.k.a. bud rot;)

Will do.

I grow in 20% all of the time. It's nice to mist them especially when they are in veg but not required for a decent grow. When they flower just keep an eye on them as they will use more water in dry 20-30% RH.

Glad I read this. My humidity never goes over 40. For some reason it goes up and down but never above 40. Saw a damn gnat today and sat there and stared at the soil for a good couple minutes and didn't see another one since. Gonna get some BTi I think just to be safe.
