Hi guys,

So I trimmed a lot in veg, however now I am in week two of 12/12. Can I still trim the lower growth or should I leave the plant as it is? I have so many branches and heads everywhere!

Thanks guys
its about personal preference, but if i was u i will trim lower branches and make clones, so u dont get too much popcorn nugs, also the plant will redirect the growing energy to tops. Good luck!!

Its really bushy. Id make an imaginary line 1/5 up from the bottom and trim off all leaves and any branches that are mostly under the line. Between 1/5 and 1/4. Also if you take some out of the middle it will help too. You gotta remember, that things gonna almost double in size so eventually when you flip airflow could be a problem down there. Plus the middle shit is larf anyway. by now you should be able to see where the buds are not really gonna produce anything.

So should I chop off the LOWER branches, that have been growing up and through the center? they are getting great light....

I really am scared to chop...I have read so many grow reports that it can harm the yield upto 30%!!! I am only in day 12 of 12/12....

guess what was hiding in the middle of this plant? Nothing. But all that growth was responsible for gettin the plant that size to flower. And all that growth had the plants metabolism moving at a speed to feed the whole plant. What do you think would have happened if i could have gotten rid of the bottom and inside and it was still feeding and sucking in nutrients just as fast as before? Probably bigger buds right? All i know is that the inside was a waste of time and money in the end.

What are your canopy temps? I am using an IR temp sensor and hottest is around 88F. Is that too high?

So just to recap, should I chop off all the branches that are smaller? Or only the ones not receiving light?

Any part of the plant that is receiving good light do not cut only cut off the portions that are not receiving any significant light...And 88f is definitely too hot you want to try your best to keep it below 80f if at all possible.

You should trim off suckers about 1/4 of the lower plant. Dont cut any shoots from the bottom that have grown and made it past half way up the plant. I have seen plants where a bottom growing branch has become the primary bud(outdoor) through topping.
