My guess is 1 year we will have a commercially viable 3 umol/j light. That's that's all I got to say about that.

100% is impossible basically. I'm thinking it's probably not 70% in honesty. I think I read it wasn't quite as efficient as led but close. The benefit is supposed to be low cost.

Just finished wk 1 of flowering. Nov 30 shut lights off for 2 days. 12/12 since Dec 2, approx 2' in height.
Had to take em to 2' cause of pH issue otherwise would have flipped at 18".
Since in a tent, took 4x4 tray and dropped it to the ground cause need the height for flower.
Light is approx 12" from canopy, now prob less.
I can tell they have grown taller as my fan was raised to blow just over the canopy, now it needs to be raised again.
I know that the slabs that 6" rockwool cubes are sitting on should still have the plastic on it, but since the slabs were 3 yrs old, never used, I wanted to strip them when it came time to soak them. Keeping the plastic on the slabs would have resulted in little to no algae, but couldn't do it in this case.
As far as nutes:
Mix of Flora Grow and Flora Nova from GH--the veg & flower 1 part nute. Will switch to constant Flora Nova at the beginning of wk 3. So for now will continue a 50/50 mix of veg/flower 1 part nutes from GH.

Plus since not using R.O. water, been filling up 5 gal waterings in bucket 2 days before needing the water for de-chlorinization. Now adding Dechlorinator Water Conditioner from Microbe Hydroponics to reduce up to 4mg/L in Total Chlorine.
Also the pH down I'm using is from a Euro company called Green Point and this shit is caustic. I keep it in the hydro bag from the store and am very careful when around it cause it will burn thru shit including the bottle it's in.
If I show a 6.4 pH and want to take it down to a 5.9/5.8 w/ 5 gal of water, we are talking less than 5ml of pH down to drop. The most intense pH down I've ever seen.
Temp is between 80-82. Lights are running during the daytime. No a/c. And the only issues now I see are gonna be humidity. I've seen humidity reach 65%. When humidity get's up there, I just open my door to the rest of the house and let a little dryer air in there which will drop to 45% if I open the tent door, but just have the room door open usually gets it back down to 53%.
They are in really good shape right now. Best I've seen during this cycle w/ these in particular.
No bugs, gnats, or anything. No pm. Not even anything showing on the yellow sticky traps. Very good.
I haven't set up trellis netting yet cause I don't know what to expect from heights but keeping a close eye, netting should go in later this wk or next.
As far as electricity: When running my 4' T-5 and everything in my house including 4 screen computer and under bar lights, tv etc.. my bill is approx $100/mo and I'm an electric only bldg. No gas whatsoever.
Currently when at look at my acct, it will tell you electricity used and how big your bill will be approx for the next billing cycle-- It was saying $137. Now saying $130. New bill starts in 3 days.
Oct 2015 my bill was $97. Light was not being used yet. Nov 13 I think is when the light went into 18/6. Now is at 12/12. I will monitor the electric and am very curious.
You'll notice some bottom branches that haven't been cut in some of the pics but everything else is clean at the bottom? This is cause I'm going to take those as clones in the next wk then they will be completely lollypopped.

As far as electricity goes, just put a Kill-a-watt monitor on it and see how much you are drawing X 12 hours (run time per day) X # of days per month / 1000 to get your KW/hours. You can look at your power bill for rates and figure out the cost. No need to guess on the electricity usage....

This is not horti Chris Grow. This is cxb-8 Grow. He is testing maximizer.... Unreleased 630 watt cxb-8. Almost 1400 PPF. Horti Chris will do NFT. This Grow is rockwool with flora nova.
