@sunni I did not take it as rude, lol. I felt very much like an amateur when I saw the lights melting. Yes, I am young and yes this is my first setup but I am committed.
That is the correct attitude to have !!!! so many times we see new members come on here and pose a question but as soon as someone with prior experience give them constructive criticism they get offended. What has been the key to my progression in this field is staying open to new advice and understanding that you wont get it 100% right the 1st time, or maybe even the 2nd or 3rd.

Ok so I built some reflectors out of aluminum foil. I read somewhere about the reflections might cause burn spots on the leaves? Is there anything out there I could buy (Other than a grow tent) that is reflective and will attach the walls behind my setup?

White posterboard sold at Walmart. I've seen reflective tests and for reasons I don't understand, flat white seems to reflect more than mirror finishes.

You'll have to buy a $20 Dr. Meter (Lux Meter) on Amazon to find out. Welcome to the hobby. (But, be sure you don't get caught if you're not legal.).

If I were you, I would flip to 12/12 any day now and get through this grow quickly. It will stretch quite a bit when you flip. You might get 20-30g. If you let it veg for any period of time you're going to have odor problems, need more lights (you will anyway, but many more lights). Get through it, take what you've learned and plan for your next one.

Yea I might do that starting Wednesday when my light timer comes in.

Ya bro Id cull that weak fucking thing and wait till you get outta mommas house or wherever the fuck you are. THe amount of money you are spending on crap lighting and shit that barely even works when you could just save up and get some big boy toys on your weekly allowance budget..

Total drug abuse if Ive ever seen it.

Not trying to come off rude..but its a waste of time..

Do outdoor for your first time..atleast lighting is taken care of lol.

I am new to growing and everything has been going great up until the past week. She hasn't made any progress and won't keep growing. I was wanting to know if this is just a normal thing to happen. I haven't been overwatering, she is getting enough nutrients from some miracle-grow, and now I just need someone to examine her.
can tell u right now that is way to wet for a seedling that may be one of your issues

Well actually I just got three Cree Led a21's in today and a light timer. So I am going to see what happens. I can't bring myself to give up on it yet. I do have two new plants going though now. Will post pictures later tonight.

Well gl with whatever you do bro. As someone said you have the right attitude..but need the right setup , gear and space..

So there is the new plants popping up under one Cree A21. Ive got two Cree A21's on the larger plant right now. I thought I had set my light timer up correctly today but the lights never went off. So I will try again in the morning. I think my general idea is to veg the first plant for another week under the Cree's and see how she looks before I start flowering with her.

They look good. You'll like the Cree lightbulbs. I did 196g from a 3x3 space using only 21 watts per sq ft. See this post for photos of the buds. That was 1g/w and 21g/sq ft.

I used 5 Cree Par38s on top (18w each, total 98w) and two 9.5w A19s in a couple corners as sidelight. And, a couple Par38s in a couple corners. It came out to about 195w total.

You can do even better with homemade COB LEDs. Look at the indoor->LED forum when you're ready. But, I love these bulbs.

Also, if you like DIY stuff and growing smaller plants with lower watts, look into the SMD 5630 strip LEDs. You can make your own custom panels that you can hinge around the light. There are threads about doing that.

Ok so I looked around and couldn't find anything on this but I am looking of the best/cheapest grow tent. I need something that fits in an area smaller than 3x3 and less than 5ft 8 inches tall. I know the Gorilla Grow tent lite would be perfect size but I am curious if there is anything better that would be suggested. I think after finals week I will have enough money to pony up for a tent and possibly a filter.

Lighthouse Hydro 3x3x5' tall. $110.00, free shipping. I don't think it's better than GG, but might fit your budget better. LH tents will have slight pin-hole light leaks. You can duct tape over seams and things. Or paint on Plasti-Dip. I don't worry about it. It's good enough for me.

Do you have stealth concerns? Landlord who might enter and see it?

Its going to fit perfectly in my closet with those dimensions I think. I haven't used a tape measure yet but thats next on my list tomorrow. My parents are my landlords but they live an hour away and never come check on me (I am a senior). So stealth wise I'm really only concerned about smell. But thats an issue I feel will be taken care of with the tent. The price difference between the LH and the GG is only $50 for the lite version that I was looking at. Do you think the $50 is worth it in quality? @az2000

I don't know about the quality between GG and LH. I like how they have an extension kit. That might come in handy if you use it in a different location.

Odor, you'll need a fan (4" is probably enough) and a Phresh carbon filter sized for that tent. You'll need a speed control. The cheap $20 controls are noisy. They create a buzz in the fan motor. $60 for a variac on Amazon will be a nice, long-term investment in a quiet environment. Or, buy the Phresh Hyper fan with the builtin speed controller.

I like to use a 1qt jar of Ona Gel as a backup for odor control. I just unscrew the cap when the tent is open, or if someone is coming in the house. It neutralizes anything that might linger in the air. You top it off with distilled water when it evaporates. Eventually you need to add some Ona concentrate. Don't keep it uncapped too close to your grow area (for too long). It will impart a taste to the buds.
