Cuttings burnt?

Hello, this is my first time i've taken cuttings.
I use a X-stream aeroponics from Nuticulture with rootnig sponges from Root it and root hormones.

I put the cuttings in the system without the sprinklers on and with the lid on the first 5 days (with humidity around 75-85%) to get them rooted in the sponge, then I added 20ml of Formulex-nutrients to 10L (2,6 gallons) of water with the sprinklers on, I remove the lid from the time to time to get new air to my cuttings.

I have my cuttings in the bathroom with just the light from the ceiling. I started putting them in 18/6 yesterday after reading that they need darkness.

My question is, did I add to much nutrients or are they maybe not rooted well enough?
Should I change the water to no-nutes or should I continue and see what happends?

The cutting in the last pic I pulled out the root sponges because it didnt stand straight anymore and then I saw that it hadnt developed any roots yet.

Nicrosis is not good.
With clones, use pHed tapwater. pH is the number 1 thing you need. No nuts required as they won't use them until after root development. Never used x stream, but all cloners are similar. Suspend stem with neoprene circle (no spong) and let it do its thing.

Never added any phdown or up, just the formulexnutrients that came with the Rooit-kit.
Ok, I changed the water right after I wrote the thread with no nutes, lets hope they get better.

With new cutting, pH is a must. No wonder why you have nicrosis. Ditch the nutrients. Get new cutting, rooting compound optional. I'd use gel, not powder, in aero as it doesn't wash off as fast, if used. 5.5-6 pH. Tap water at my house is( ~9.1-9.4). It's like drinking an AA battery.

Ok! Nice to know, I use gel to. Dipped the clone stem into the gel then into the plug, then down in the x-stream system.
The PH in the water in my country is 6.0 so I dont need to add anything.

I've had 100% success in as high as 7.3pH,( but!) I had tons of beneficial bacteria, in a very large aero-aqua system. With straight tap, 6.0 might be ok. Your success rate may very. Clean cloner well to eliminate bad bacterial growth (I.E. diluted bleach, ect..), and rinse very well. Bad bacterial growth spores well off itself. Recommended is 5.5pH.

Hydro not cheap to start.
If hydro, get a cheap pH test kit (minimum) . There like $10US. I recommend "Bluelab pH pen"; about $75US.

I have one, gonna check into it. But from experience with regular grows, adding 1-4 drops of Ph down (depending on how much water in the system) it ususally brings down the ph the around 5.6.

Later, when here using these forums, use EC and not PPM's or the Americans will give you wrong info. EC is universal.

Again, it depends on your reservoir size. When I used one, I changed once a week.

I always use EC Dont even own a ppm-calculator.

You dont need to adjust ph for cloning as they are not consuming nutes just water. Also if using rw cubes make sure the cube is never much more than 50% wet after watering and sterilize your tools.
