YES! Flushing for flavor and burn is a MYTH! It's all in a proper long dry and cure...

peep this:
https://www.rollitup.org/t/the-truth-about-flushing.409622/

I'm tired of typing the info i have on this - never ending crap pile of a belief.......NO science supports the myth!
I definitely notice a taste difference between using more organic sources of nutrients in soil than using entirely synthetic. I've read that it's not possible for plants to "take up" anything that affects flavor (the science thing, again). But, something is definitely different.

If I grew with synthetic nutrients I would think it's reasonable that less of it in the end might reduce whatever is causing that taste difference. But, maybe not. At least just a water-only feed with sugars to stimulate the microbes, the last 2-3 feedings?

#1: CORRECT!

#2: YES! There are things at play in natural organic grows that express the Terp profile......It's natural.........Synthetics,,,aren't and can't supply all the micro variables of soil...
Smell and flavor are best out of organics soils - PERIOD!

Still - Flushing - IS a myth....

Ime taste and smell depend more on genetics than medium. My dwc generally tastes the cleanest to me soil usually leaves a kind of earthy taste on the buds, which is ok sometimes, but not others. I've done the same strains run hydro vs soil and most of the time, the hydro is prettier and yields more, but as far as taste and smell there was a very negligible difference. Down strains taste shit, others taste awesome. It's all preference and dependent mostly on genetic makeup. Just my experience.

Every single grow book or tutorial will tell you to flush?? And every single guru will also tell u to flush. But then again u listen to a bunch of noobs on rollitup that tells you not to flush?? Interesting...bongsmilie
I would do the research before you start claiming people are listening to noobs about flushing. I was skeptical before too, try it then talk sh**, not the other way around.

LMFAO!!!! And I hang my plants upside down not because that's just the nature of hanging shit up but because it forces all of the resin out of the leaves and into the bud. Urban legends make me laugh. Flushing fits nicely into that category... What if I told you it was OK to change your mind given new information? The "gurus," as you put it are old, tired, living in the past and need to uptake the new information.... You will get better advice on growing things from the farmers almanac.

Or you could be your own person and do both and realize for yourself that flushing is foolish, and that learning how to properly dry and cure the buds is where its at...

Edit: this coming from a noob, of course
