How thick is the lens on a magnum xxl or a raptor hood. Thanks
thanks im having low iron glasss cut for itit is eighth of an inch just had one cut for my broken one.
its invisible. Way more light goes thru. Cant even tell the hood has a lenzWhat's the story w low iron glass?
big difference.IF you air cool the hoods you can keep the light a foot closer. And with thats glass its like having a bare bulb that closeOh.... Science stuff................... I don't see a big difference w or without the glass anyhow
I suppose w one plant per light....... Otherwise they gotta be off the canopy to spread the light ..... And the distance is about the same w or without the glass....... If you're using a magnum youre planning on covering some spacebig difference.IF you air cool the hoods you can keep the light a foot closer. Perfect fit ...... But at six inches its only gonna cover half...... Youre gonna be at a eighteen inches...... The glass can't be that much more clear.... Really seems like a gimmick
OK.... Done.....lol....... Looks nice for fish tanksLook into. Its pretty interesting
maybe not. Ima do it thoMeasured the foot candle loss (intensity) with glass in a reflector compared to no glass.
Measured directly below the bulb (1K hps hortilux) without glass 18" is 10,000 foot candles (fc) which is the maximum sunlight intensity in my hood.
With the glass 16" is 10,000 fc.
Sooooo, is it worth doing?
A~~~
