If Bernie Sanders is for Peace...why did he....

I've asked several Bernie Sanders supporters here why if they are for peace, they support Bernie Sanders. Yet, there have been no real answers to the question I pose below.

Bernie has a track record of voting for the world's highest and most offensive military budgets in history.

Could a Bernie Sanders supporter please take the time to explain that obvious contradiction, why Bernie has voted to perpetuate war ?

I am not a Bernie Sanders supporter. In fact I know little about him. Ever heard the phrase, "Fight for peace"? Unfortunately peace does not just happen on its own. Most of the time the fear of war shows peace is the best option. Mutual assured destruction during the cold war kept both sides from using their nuclear bombs, because if one attacked first, they would still get destroyed.
Having a well prepared military, both offensive and defensive, does cause a possible aggressor to have to think if a fight is worth it, given they will suffer the same or more damage than they can inflict. When war is not worth the risk, peace looks pretty damn good.
Unfortunately, there enemies now who do not only not fear death...they believe it is the highest honor to die in battle. An enemy who wants to die for their cause is a very dangerous one. For them, dying of old age is not honorable.

I'd be happy to answer you, but first let me ask you this..

Without taxes and government, who pays to investigate crimes?

You seem to agree with his stance but are questioning why in an attempt to prove that he's not what a supporter might think? Bernie's a common sense guy, check out his stance on gun rights. Recently, I think he's been forced to moderate a bit due to voter demographic demand, but I'm pretty sure Sanders is packin heat.

The premise for your question is flawed, Government doesn't pay for anything. They fund their actions criminally though by forcibly redistributing other peoples money, most often using at least some of it for things that person wouldn't fund even if he /she had a real choice which government extinguishes systemically due to their monopoly.

Okay, so tell me why Bernie votes to fund the USA aggression abroad which many people believe is the cause of the blowback / "terrorism".

You just gave a nice argument why there should be an armed populace, to protect against government and thugs, but I repeat myself.

So, why does Bernie vote to continue the perpetuation of drones killing children, expansion of the empire etc. if he tries to claim he's all about peace?

Bernie has very little concern for individual liberty and is woefully inept regarding any kind of free market based economics. He is playing the masses as chumps but that wasn't the question I asked.

My point is and the question posed in this thread, HIS actions do not agree with his words. Why did he vote to continue slaughter ?

why do you refuse to state that having sex with small children should be illegal?

I give you points for trying Poopy Pants. You must be tired from butchering lumber all day though. Why don't you work up to things and use a little more subtlety?

Besides, if having sex with people with small genitalia was illegal, your sex life would suffer.

I do think we agree that diddling kids is not a very nice thing to do though , but neither is shitting on a floor that doesn't belong to you...you've committed at least one of the preceding acts haven't you?

I am 100% for that and I am also that. Banning firearms due to the small minority (compared to all gun owners) that use them in crime is like banning all automobiles due to the small number of idiots who use them to commit crimes or kill people...Off topic, sorry.

the same people who say that want to ban all muslims from the country because of a very small number of extremists.

you people are so dumb.

you still didn't answer the very simple question.

why do you refuse to state that having sex with small children should be illegal?

I disagree with people that would do that, but you already know that.

I don't think legality or illegality confers morality or immorality though, so your question was one that assumes the existence of a government prohibition on something matters to me. Whether something is legal or illegal doesn't cause or prevent me from engaging in it. My conscience and core philosophy govern those matters.

I believe all human interactions should start with peaceful and voluntary methods, government doesn't. So your question fails to provide proper context within my belief structure.

So back on topic, do you support Bernie and his votes to fund the Pentagon and their death and destruction ?
