new to the bush i has a watering Q?

I've never used mulch... I dig em deep 3-4' and 14-18" wide.. I grew in Illinois in gorilla patches here n there its all red clay and dont drain for shit .. But its good if u dig a big hole n toss in fox farms..its like a giant clay pot.. Just don't fill your hole up all the way..leave like 2" lower than surrounding ground so all your water goes into your hole only..no spillage or runoff.
great advice i use fox farm as well i love it good good going deep bro

well let first see if this is right u have to email him [email protected] it sounds so sketchy u gift him paypal blah blah so i dont even know if i paid the right guy but from all the convo i had with him sounds like the real deal a down to earth kindof guy but i dunno still will find out if it's a fake bro so just wait until the disciple will let u know soon as it happens also u get a copy of his dvd and a grow vid unreleased also when u visit his youtube site every vid shows hes selling his beans now tell him the disciple sent yea be so fucking funny if he said anything

Are you in the ground, or Smart Pots?
I'm in the Sierra foothills where 100+ degrees temps in the are very common. I grow in 200 gallon smart pots and I water 15-20 gallons a day per plant. During VERY hot spells I'll water another 10-15 gallons on top of that.

Will more than likely be in smart pots. DAMN! So up to 35 gallons/day during the very hot spells? I'm assuming the hot spells where you are at is like 108-110? That's a reality check haha I really appreciate the info! Will probably be around 90 during our peak season where i'll be

Yes, when the plants reach over 10' W I D E and temps are 100+ degrees, they need the extra water. Here's my "Mad Purps", look how this FAT bitch filled up that 10' wide carport. I had to take the plastic off the top to give her more room.

While not too dry most years, I do grow in sandy soil. All the weed I have grown was in the ground, so not much help on grow bags. But I did grow tomatoes and peppers in grow bags in small swimming pools. You cut drainage holes about an inch high on the pool walls, then install a float valve. Never have to worry about watering. My tomatoes got huge with that method. It's a shame I can't use it for weed.

But from growing my Primate Patches in sandy soil, I have found adding a couple gallons of clay to the bottom of the hole will help with water retention. I also add lava rock to my soil mix, and pile leaves around the plants. Praying for rain never hurts either.

So what about the twent or thirty gallon plastic grow bags for use above ground would the dry out just as quick as a fabric grown bag
