I've never heard of a 'hydroponic lucas formula' before. Can you point to what you purchased? 'Lucas Formula' is basically a 2:1 ratio of gh bloom and micro. Standard is 16ml/gal bloom : 8ml/gal micro. Some use 10:5. I basically use this method as well, but go by ratio rather than #ml/gal to achieve a specific ec.

I see. I understand the concept, but to be technical from everything I've ever read, true Lucas formula is based on gh micro and bloom. It appears this company mixed a micro and bloom together in a single bottle. I can see where they are coming from, and I'm sure it will work, and from that point if you are going to use it, get an ec meter so you know exactly what they are being fed. Depending on size, you can start with .6-1.0 ec. I'd be curious to know the ec from the directions on the bottle.

ec is universal, ppm can be on a .500 or .700 scale. just find out which one it is. An ec meter is on the .500 scale for conversion. Meaning 1.0 ec is .500ppm for example.

Not sure what scale those tds meters are on. I have a couple blue ones and I think they are on the .700 scale, can't remember. I have a couple of these ec meters, they work well. Also, for those yellow ph meters, order a couple of them. You need to have at least one on backup. They work well to a point.

use either RO or distilled.

if it is similar to the GH floranova bloom, full dosage would be 8mL per gallon.

for small plants, i'd try maybe 2 to 3mL per gallon and see what kind of ppm/EC you are at. i usually go from maybe 0.3EC for seedlings/clones and then all the way up to 1.2 to 1.5EC for full flowering plants.

Dude look up @ISK. Easiest lucasformula recipe ever. I kinda cut my teeth on his journal. My recipe.

GH Maxibloom. 1 small level scoop that comes with the powder. Per gallon.

CalMag. 1 ml per gallon.

PH Up. Approx 1.5-2 ml per gallon in my tap water. PH approx 5.8-6.

Water every other day in a hempy bucket.

That's it bro. Easy. Cheap and it works. Look up dude. I'm telling you he got skills bro. I won't even bother doing a journal cause his are the word.

EDUT! Flora nova should work just fine too tho. Goto lucasformula.com for more info. You'll be fine. I think you can use just about anything for the formula. Just have to dial it in.

i do hempy buckets. easiest form of hydro. mine are auto-feed so i don't even have to do anything for a week between res changes.

you "shouldn't" need cal/mg in lucas formula. but it's not a bad idea to keep a bottle handy just in case.

Nope. My hempies are just plain ole colored buckets. Using 3 gal now. Was using 5 gal. Drill a hole 2" from the bottom for a reservoir the roots can sit in. I fill it up with perlite only. You can add vermiculite or coco. I don't bother tho. And use the perlite over and over again. I mean for years bro. Water with Lucas formula about every other day when plant is mature. That's it bro. Keep your ph straight and voila! It's so easy a monkey can do it and cheap as..... I mean EASIEST and CHEAPEST way to grow I know of.
