I guess pulling 1.2gpw in soil with this panel is more than possible...so imo it is a good number and is twice most of the growers pull from an hps...!
Any news from horti mike's grow with your maximizer!???

I've read many posts of the diy lights, some are impressive! But I wasn't looking to build one myself so I found a company is selling them, testing them, and backing them with a warranty. As for maximum efficiency its not really a concern for me at this end. I forgot to mention that this light is in my Veg tent. Its just a 4x4 and the spread looks very nice with this CX-9! I had a 600w or 400w digitals in the tent before with either an og or blockbuster. The heat was a major factor for me in my location. This light is a big up for my junky setup, you could climb up there, take a shit on it and ill still run this bad mofo. Less power usage, more light output, better spectrum, better spread, and less heat than before I'm super happy with my new light!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I'll start my own post with it and i'll see you guys over there. -Z

No offense, but its a 16"x16" light, is it not?
If you are using 90 degree lenses in a 4x4 area, the highest you could essentially go is 16" to effectively cover a 4x4 area. Anything higher, and you wont be getting proper coverage. You are also getting an extreme amount of coverage in the center just like you would with HPS (a huge benefit IMO to going DIY as you can build to suit, this is not a knock on your lights, just in the general LED industry that refuses to build a light with proper coverage just to save cost).
Now, if you are using 60 degree lenses, the coverage drops dramatically and the light cannot effectively cover a 4x4 area. What lenses are you using? I have to assume 90 degree right?
Again, not anything against you, but I wish manufacturers would post these specs on their sales page so buyers can make an informed decision (although if you are paying for this with all the information available, you are probably too ignorant to understand these things).

Alright, gonna keep this short since I already spent enough time bitching about the humidity.
Before I get into that, I'll explain the pic files:
Noticeable difference between 12/16/15 vs the 12/23 pre bend pics.
Seems to be on par w/ a 1k hps.
In the 12/23/15 file you'll find pre bend, post bend, and post bend trim.
The colas had grown too high above the trellis and since I didn't know the genetics (first run)
Watered w/ straight water, 1 mixed w/ terpinator & cal mag, 1 just straight pH'd water for the last 2 waterings over last 3 days.
Otherwise still on full strength Flora Nova Flowering, Terpinator, Cal Mag, de-chlorinator, haven't added Rhizo blast in any waterings last wk but will be tonight.

I guess the show isn't for everyone. Also I've always heard if you don't have haters you aren't doing something right. Thanks for your opinion though. Can't make everyone happy. Care to explain to me Apache At600 output vs maximizer. Please educate me on it and BML spyder 1200 also there new spyder-x. I'm just curious how all these guys are claiming 1000 watt replacements as well. Do tell. Also educate me on the maximizer and its ouput......

running cxb "white" cobs harder in your maximizer, should check sup's #s to see what it does to your LER==== match that to a new SE 1000w hps bulb and tell me again how @ 45-50% less wattage draw your gonna get the same results?
At600 is drawing way more than you think, it also uses 630nm monos, spd comes into play
bml 1200 is using mostly top-bin osram monos, more watts than you , spd comes into play
I don't know shit about the new spider x as it's not released yet

The maximizer draws 630 watts with zero fans zero................ BTW I the maximizer is 8 cxb 3590s @2.1a so roughly 50% efficient. Or 2.325 umol/j driven. The maximizers output is over 1300 umols after lense loss vs 1650-1700 hps before 25-30% reflector losses. You do the math........ Also take into account this should be vs air cooled because the maximizer is duct cooled as well. Glass 5-10% depends on if you clean it every few days.
