i have had new rooted clones flower under constant, weak light. i think a short flower photoperiod would have the same low light requirement to work properly.Thought our ladies needed at least 10 hours of uninterrupted darkness?
My roots grow fine... Just trying something new in the name of science.treat your roots well and they will grow fast. messing with lights is just fighting against millions of years of evolution.
let it do what it wants to do. that's what they like.
Funny, I never see the sun shining at either 2200k OR 6500k.From what I understand, the spectrum changes during solstice, not during day/night transition. That's why it's blue for veg (spring/summer) and red for flower (fall/winter).
I mix red and blue spectrums but adjust for more during their respective cycles. I can't say it's made a huge difference, but it would appear that nodes are tighter under more blue and buds denser under more red. That's why I mix.
Weak light. Sure they weren't autos?i have had new rooted clones flower under constant, weak light. i think a short flower photoperiod would have the same low light requirement to work properly.
You have, you just didn't notice. The sun is more "white" during spring/summer and orange during fall/winter. It's not a crazy difference. That's what scientific research states anyway.Funny, I never see the sun shining at either 2200k OR 6500k.
Haha. Who the hell knows. They're always changing shit and making new shit up. I just know that a good mix works well for me.I thought it was due to the sun being lower in the horizon and the light passing through pollution making it look red but that's just what I thought .
Keep us all updated with pics etc....I didn't know about the 6 hr process, I was just guessing. Gives me more confidence in the theory anyway. Thanks for that tidbit.
I'm all for experimenting just for the sake of experimenting. Even if it fails, I'll just have buds with seeds or smaller buds. I'm running hybrid clones, so I won't have a definitive on if it helps/hinders dominant strains. Ought to be cool though.
I'll run 2 on that schedule and 2 on 18/6 and treat them the same way. Thanks again for the info.
Maybe, but so is topping, LSTing, lollipopping, scrog, and growing under artificial lighting.treat your roots well and they will grow fast. messing with lights is just fighting against millions of years of evolution.

Soon as these clones are done rooting I'll get to it.Maybe, but so is topping, LSTing, lollipopping, scrog, and growing under artificial lighting.
Conn. Rex if you have the space and time I say go for it.
I run a 600 MH and a 600 HPS when flowering.Haha. Who the hell knows. They're always changing shit and making new shit up. I just know that a good mix works well for me.
I wish. I use a 400 HPS and T5 (blue).I run a 600 MH and a 600 HPS when flowering.
That's what I started with and had some really good success.I wish. I use a 400 HPS and T5 (blue).
Can you even clone an auto. ?Weak light. Sure they weren't autos?
It's all in the tilt of the earth lol the sun at 2200k would look like some Mars shyt lmao I'm so high right nowFunny, I never see the sun shining at either 2200k OR 6500k.
Nope. Can you even clone an auto. ?
