hell something that small i hand water but i do DWC not flood and drain
ahh ok well I'm going to stick to the every 6 hour flood then and hopefully in a day or 2 it'll start recovering but thank you very much for the response, i appreciate it!!no with the h202 plant is to small i'm thinking.. looks like over watering once every 6 hours or more sounds better it not going to drink much that small
good site with pic's look at root rot leaf so you know you can't see rootsahh ok well I'm going to stick to the every 6 hour flood then and hopefully in a day or 2 it'll start recovering but thank you very much for the response, i appreciate it!!
how high does the water level reach and do you ever mist the top of the rock wool to keep it from getting dry? my PH is 5.8 tap water water temps at 66F and humidity is a little too low though like 35-40 I'm buying a humidifier tomorrow though but I'm confused as to if i should give a shit if the top of the rapid rooter is moist but yeah i just brought my flood to every 6 hours but I'm still not sure if i should make it even longer between floods, does this look like it could be root rot or just overwatering or under watering? When the plants are in the seedling stage I only flood twice a day if using RW. Once the roots are established then more frequent. Yes you can bring them back but I just spent 2 months trying, it was a success but I probably should have just started over. The seeds were real pricey and I'm a stubborn prick so I just kept fighting lol. I found H2O2 to be ineffective btw and bought a gallon of hydroguard, got Res temps to 65f and never looked back.
pretty good idea, someone was telling me to germinate as usual with a rapid rooter the put it in a 5"net pot and hand water until roots start sticking out then put the net pot into a 1gallon pot and fill with hydroton, then start flooding. that seems like the easiest and most logical way thus farI've had great success starting seeds directly in hydroton in drip systems and in moist perlite in hempy buckets. I made a new setup which is a mini dwc with the net pots submerged about a 1/2". I made a crater in the top of the hydroton and filled it with perlite to form a nest for the seed. Haven't tried it out yet though.
Its hard to tell from the pic the one looks good but without seeing the roots up close I wouldn't know and I'd have to be there. I like to have temps around 80F for both water and ambient air when their babies it could be your water temps too low. I've never had luck with peat pellets, rapid rooters or rockwool cubes always got damping off issues. Best results so far have been with perlite thats moistened beforehand with a warm tap water rinse. I'd bury them 2" deep and wait a couple days and gently excavate the perlite till just before the seedling was visible. This was done in hempy buckets so they wouldn't be able to be transplanted but I never had one die doing that.my PH is 5.8 tap water water temps at 66F and humidity is a little too low though like 35-40 I'm buying

yeah i didn't even think of that because they were on a heat mat for like 5 days then i was just spraying them with room temp water and now they're on 66 degree water but everywhere i read the temp should be just about perfect, maybe it just takes some time for them to adjust and i really am starting to think about doing something like that so i don't have to worry about the stupid ass rapid roots drying too much or being too moist. shits annoying but thanks for your input man i appreciate it!!Its hard to tell from the pic the one looks good but without seeing the roots up close I wouldn't know and I'd have to be there. lmao damnn, well atleast it doesnt look all wilted and shit like mineDon't ask me lol. My seedlings look like shit
damn that thing made a big comeback lol i can only hope that will happen with mine, I'm actually having a bit of a problem with like 15 degree temp swings but i just got a cooling thermostat switch that will control the fan connected to my light so the canopy stays in a +/-3 degree temp range of 75 and i also cut my floods to every 6 hoursView attachment 3578749 Once I get roots they start to flourish as these ones are doing
damn, what a nice big big plant.... how many weeks is that from when you first planted the seed to germinate? i have 2 that are 2 weeks old and one of them looks healthy but its only like 1in tall and the other plant i have is like 3inches and still only has 1 set of leaves besides the cotyledon and one leaf is dropping and the other leaf is partially drooped with the end/tip of the leaf pointing up and its drying out at the bend and now that leaf appears to be getting light-bleached idek what to do but to just let it ride out lol I'm thinking the temps/r.h aren't helping though. my temps sometimes swing 15 degrees and i cant seem to get the r.h of my canopy past 40%.. probably because my tent has been staying open until i get my temp controllerView attachment 3579401 And just getting bigger lol. View attachment 3579402 Temps are important . This does both, she's a tad chilly in there as I was doing some work and door was open .
oh shit i thought it was only one, i have my screen all the away didn't even see the pots lol but I'm using the plant!t hydroton from what I've been told/seen it holds more water then regular circle hydroton so i definitely want to keep the flood times as spaced as possible but the only problem is the rapid rooters dry out so damn fast so I'm always on the fence on if i should bother watering the rapid rooter (its like impossible to wet them evenly from the top without drenching them) or just have a decent spacing of floods at like 6 hours like i do know but I've seen minimal growth in them since i transplanted last week. they've grown probably like a qtr inch in the past week and like i said the only other thing thats happened is my 2" plant drooping the 1 leaf edge bending up and bleaching and dryingThat's not one, it's 4 lol. It's ... Hmmm, let see, about two months now lol. They spent the first 6 weeks dead though. Im no expert but pretty sure it's all about the water and to much, I'm in just the clay balls and 6 hours was still to much I think, for seedlings I'm now at two floods a day and there is still lots of water in the net pots at end of 10 hours.
