I'm freaking out. Can someone help?

There's been a helicopter making repetitive circles and it keeps flying right over our house going in the same big circle for like 5-10 solid minutes. It's pretty low flying too. No spot lights or anything. Just red tail blinker. Its pretty low. In 5 years of living here, I have never noticed this happen before, but it is alarming to me because I just started growing a month ago in my closet.

Was it a bad move for me to buy seeds online and for them to be delivered to my house? Surely they wouldn't catch me that fast....

I know you guys are laughing at me but I'm brand new at this and growing in a state where it's illegal.

Is this chopper surveying me? Would police doing surveillance do circles around the house and fly over the house they are investigating?

I'm having a panic attack

Mainly they wouldn't I'd say. They used to drive all around the area here pointing a device at houses. I have no idea what they were doing or what the device was.
Only if you're rfi/emi is messing with your neighbors cable they may come looking. Had the cable guy over here on a service call , it wasn't the ballast that was interfering with my cable BUT the cable guy says "so you're the one that's been lighting up the neighborhood." , as if he didn't already know.

No it is not protected from infra red..your op is really small unless your in Some terrible southern state where boss hog lives they shouldnt give a fuck about what they see at your house...so you are just being paranoid..probably just looks like a water heater to them

they are not looking for you so calm down. @m4s73r's suggestion to check out your local news is a good idea-you are just noticing this stuff because you're "breaking the law" but i like to think of it as civil disobedience to an unjust law and if you look at it that way, then it's your duty to disobey. good luck on your grow.

They can detect the ballast with infrared ? Or the infrared detects the heat/light?

I got my windows covered so there's no light. Heats no issue either.

I've had tons of equipment shipped plus seeds, soil, an RO unit, etc. just pay your power bill, keep your home peaceful & drama free and grow for your own use you'll be fine. I used to flip out every time I heard a siren or a chopper overhead but the cops typically don't go out of their way to bust a personal home grower. However I do read a lot about people who get busted because some asshole broke into their house & the cops who showed up to help end up arresting the homeowner for growing; so keep your shit secure...and be sure to just chill...try not to get too paranoid good luck happy growing
