We actually outspend the next THIRTEEN largest defense budgets combined!

That's an awful lot of killing in your name and mine.

Oh, where to start?
How about putting in list form.
- Cruz would block any increase in minimum wage. If we are going to set a wage floor, shouldn't we set it at a level where people who work full time can feed, clothe and house themselves, much less their kids? Counter to right wing mythology, moderately increasing minimum wages do not increase unemployment or cause havoc in businesses that currently abuse our present system.
- Reducing or eliminating tarriffs, will help some industries and hurt others. However, any cuts in revenue have to balanced somehow, either with a tax increase or a spending cut. Republicans love tax cuts but increase spending. So, no to this without more details.
- Do you expect the kindness of the Chinese when we cut tarriffs on steel, for example, without an agreement from them beforehand? That's a bit naive.

sorry didn't see you said after 1946 just saw ww2 comment..on those two wars you named there very debatable.. I'm don't really have an answer for them ..im being honest ..they said iraq was to take out dictatorship and mass destruction weapons..smh ..we now have another place we wish to believe has or is trying to get the same thing(iran)..and is isreli is one of our strongest allies ..and iran wants to wipe them out ..we have a problem ...even as much as john kerry and obama has weekend that

Well, no. Not exactly. You see, the billionaire's who own vast tracts of stock in America's defense industry did rather well, actually. They were happy to have the politicians they were paying for pass the bill on to the American taxpayer, along with a healthy dose of right wing nationalism, 'yay, go America! Drone strikes against civilian "combatants" as standard policy, yay!' Then these same yahoos wonder why we're hated.

if you have kids you shouldn't be aiming for an 8 dollar job..if you can't support your kids with a decent job don't have kids ...these low level jobs are for people just getting into the workforce not some 50 yr old guy with 7 kids ...learn a trade ..go to school ..be qualified for a high paying job..ill give a perfect example ..emt makes $15 ..now we are goignto give a person who bags groceries the same amount of money ..one saves lives and one puts my lettuce in a bag

Nam and Iraq aren't debatable though, Both were huge blunders very costly ones too.

Iraqi freedom spawned Isis, destabilized the whole region.. So our " Defense" spending is creating more enemies, which the defense contractors love..more budget more wasteful spending.. Iran is going to be our ally.. Fuck isreal, you want to cry about welfare? We give those bums 3.3 billion a year. You probably consider Saudi Arabia our ally too, dontcha?
