not good . there is no way to flush the added fertilizer out ! not good for smoke or veggies . only for plants that you do not eat smoke .

It would be nice to read about some decent organic soil that comes in a bag tho. Cheap. OP I honestly don't know. I would like to try it but, I hate being the Guinea pig. If you do you should update the forum with your experience. At least do a search, I don't recall reading a journal using that. But, it probably does exist.

I was actually at Walmart yesterday and saw that stuff. Looked great, the bag said worm castings and I was sold. Then I said fuck it and poked a whole in the bag to look at the soil and put my hands on it. Good fucking thing I did!! Let me save you the trouble, it's clay! Dense as fuck and gray as shit. I said no thank you and walked away.

kiwipaulie . so you have your meds tested at iron labs then ? some patients have cancer or other dieses and any small amount of fertilizer could kill them . some people on here actually smoke meds for medical reasons not just to be stones . there is no way the soil above would test clean from iron labs . prove us all wrong please list your report from iron labs for us to see .

Dude... How in the fuck do you manage to keep your plants alive? Without fertilizer of any kind they starve and die. WTF is wrong with you?

Are you somehow confusing fertilizer with something else like maybe synthetic insecticide/pesticide/fungicide/etc?

I tried it before going ffof and others , only two problems gnats and its full of big pieces of bark and wood materials.

so you just talk and tell people there wrong . you cant get all the nutrients out of time released . I rem reading labels on a soil with time released nutrients it said not for veggies

I think I'll use a bag of that compared to a bag of espoma potting soil which also contains worm castings in the two base soil mixes I'm about to make. I was tempted to use it as well.

Base Soil:

2cu ft sphagnum peat moss
1cu ft manure/compost
1cu ft espoma potting soil

The other will have the same mix exchanging 1cu ft Walmart organic soil for the espoma potting soil.
