running at 1050ma you won't need any fans with normal sized heatsinks. mine are 7" x 5.886" for each cob. This setup, please help
Thanks!!!!running at 1050ma you won't need any fans with normal sized heatsinks. mine are 7" x 5.886" for each cob.
Hey man, quick question. I've always, always built actively cooled rigs, just because I think they're pretty practical nowadays with CPU fans, etc. Does it feel like there's a good amount of heat radiating from each unit? I recently tried a different COB than a Cree or a Vero, and I realized that my small cpu-cooler heatsinks actually had the potential to be hot to the tough. It was kicking off quite a bit of heat over my ladies, I'll tell you it was. I swapped that sucker back out for a 3070 I did, but it was seriously raising my temperatures in the room, with just 1/20 chips being off keen. (Really weird chip too, Pink Citizen COB). I was wondering if passive heatsinks radiated a lot of heat, rather than just quickly dissipating it with convection currents. Does that make any sense?running at 1050ma you won't need any fans with normal sized heatsinks. mine are 7" x 5.886" for each cob.
it dissipates the heat pretty dang well. my heatsinks are always slightly warm to the touch, around 80 to 85 F. i've literally sometimes had problems keeping the canopy temps high enough running at nighttime when the outside temps get below 50 F. running cxb3590s soft is an amazing way to reduce heat.Hey man, quick question. Like I remember way back, I had this HPS hood that was super thick, and it would naturally be quite warm after several hours of being on right? And my temperatures were just out of control, like couldn't get them below 81. So what do I do? I get a different hood. Same bulb, just in a slimmer profile that didn't have so much pig-iron broadcasting heat like the old fella. Worked like a charm, both of them were cooltubes, but one was a really beafy undertaking. I think there's something to say about nipping heat in the bud, so to speak.

Seriously??? Why slander???. Or even create the thought of something like this. What the fuck is your problem. Where would you even come up with that shit...who the fuck do you think intoduced GM to DIY??? And does shows with him(my idea)?there are plenty of people on my shit list...but shady legal action(not even possible in this case) and/or tattletaling is not my style. And GM is about as from from that list as possible. I'll call people out and use airline points to show up on the door step to settle things. Delete your pitiful slander pronto bro.
He's busy and has done enough for everyone. I talked to him yesterday. He'll be back when he's back. Or maybe never. But on any account...he's fine and nothing catastrophic at all happened.
It's called life and believing or not...we have one that doesn't center around DIY totorials.
There have been post after that that had my real name...clearly referencing me. Whoa whoa whoa, chill chill chill. You're alright man, don't think it was something more than a dopey internet comment. I didn't even take it seriously reading it, and then immediately defended your character saying that you personally, not even your company, would let that happen. We got your back dude. Why would you sue people for assembling parts that you sell on your website? That's just absurd. Rollitup loves you man, you're everyone's COB dad. There have been post after that that had my real name...clearly referencing me. As well as other post that have been changed since I ranted today.
I saw it right away yesterday(cause I follow my friend thread) but let it go cause it wasn't worth it and all should know that would never be the case. Then 3 more people took it the same way I did. And I'm not letting that stand. And either would growmau5.
Glad my 5/6 years of being here expensing, showing, proving, doing things other won't step up to... now starting a company has somehow made me a bad guy. God forbid I did exactly what everyone wanted me to do. And now I'm an asshole cause my stupid little blue badge.
Good luck RIU @sunni @rollitup @Admin, I'll be talking my advertisements away and not contributing anymore...told you this shit would happen with those stupid blue badges. literrally word for word call it...check sunni's PM's. So much for the RIU community.
+1 GGWe got your back dude.
ROFL. Holy shit I wasn't even talking about you, I was talking about Deadmau5! You ever heard of copyright infringement? And someone else brought your name into this, not me.@5ecret 5quirrel
