I picked four hermed plants a couple of days ago and noticed that they are mature. But the plants had only been flowering 6 weeks & 2 days. Way too early. Anyone else seen this?

I don't know, maybe you're seeing some thing I'm not but that plant does not look anywhere close to being done. I mean she probably has at least another 2-3 weeks, but maybe I'm wrong that's just what I see in the pic

First pic of the bud tip looks like white trichomes with a little amber.
Trichomes sometimes change color and "ripen" not because the plant is mature but from environmental stresses, nutrient combinations, lighting distance and timing, especially the closer you get to the top tip. Theres a member here who I think he said with certain lighting and nutrient manipulation he got an 8-9 week strain to be ready to chop at 6 weeks or 5 weeks. I cant exactly remember the stats but I remember I was impressed by his work. Good Luck

That makes perfect sense. Thanks! My environment is stressful because I use extra UV. Then I got hit with fungus gnats & some type of mite. Growth stopped & the top bud hairs started receding & changing color. I noticed clusters of male flowers shortly after that.

I don't want to spray budding plants. Hmm... wonder what would happen if I blasted them with ozone for an hour during lights out???

ok yeah I see it...wax that plant out:P
What method do you use? I had yielded a marble size of resin from my first ice water n trim hash experiment and when i crumpled it over a bowl it didnt seem to make my bowl hit noticeably harder and it sucked to use in my pax 2. I should prolly get a nail attachment.

Im going through the same exact issue as you. I flowered some plants on jan 6th and after 6 weeks and 4 days Im seeing that theyre starting to amber but I didnt have as much time as I wanted to flush. Considering theyre only 6 weeks in ill give them one more flush and check them every day to make sure that they dont have more than 25% amber. Theyre at about 5-15% right now. I hope they can not over ripen over 4 more days so i can chop them when theyre dryer. they still got some green in the top fan leaves I hope to flush that nitrogen out for a clean smooth burn
