Yea running a 1000W DE HPS on a 12/12 is $105 or more a month out here in the matanuska valley. That's not counting fans, HVAC, or the T5's for the clones, mothers and veg...so LED is worth it to me

Update- Got the heatsink, cobbs, and holders in today. Took some measurements, mocked up the Cob placement, then drilled and threw some self tap screws. I have the L channel and sheet to start building the case tomorrow. Here's what I got so far.

You're using fans I hope... the 4.85 profile is the cheapest true, but has THEE WORST spread for heat dissapation.

I am putting 2, 120mm fans on but I am doing that more for the case. These are 6.080 wide.

Use 140mm fans then. They are just about 6"

They are here and built... still don't have Everything but I had what I needed to build them and test them out. The case was a bitch. They look decent, still waiting on the fan guards and server screen to cap the ends. They are far from done and far from but hey they work.

Took a play out of Growmau5 playbook and wired 1 power cord with jumpers to each bar. Ordering the parts for 2 more bars and some vero's for the clone box. I am going to get ahold of Flip chip and see about getting some lunas or those new duet chips for the bud room. We will see what happens.

And moving on from the build to the grow part. I am going to try these bars out on bud for awhile. I have 4 white widow on day 1 of bud. In the veg room I have 5 wonder woman, 4 white widow, 2 purple haze. Still in seed or clone tent I have 4 Grizzly kush, 2 purple haze, 2 pineapple chunk, and 10 free seeds from Nirvana. I am on the hunt for Alaskan ICE, and pink panther. I think I'm going to make a order today or tomorrow for freisian duck/ dew, incredible bulk, and Super hash. Make some bubble hash.

I've been eyeing fresian duck for a while. I'd probably go with fresian dew though for the cross. Get some more dank Ness in there. The duck has more prominent cool leaves but that's weird to me at the same time. I feel it'd impact potency for some weird reason. Ha ha

@Airwalker16 here is a few pictures with cobbs off fash on..First, I'm not very good with cameras. Second, don't judge the paint job. I got kicked out of my work area half way through painting them, something about the fums in the house. Anyway, I used some left over 18 gage sheet from a car project I did. When I do the next 2 I will use thin aluminum it will be easier to bend.

If you look at picture 2 and 4 in the above reply I just bolted the driver straight to the case wall with double material and thread lock nuts. The C13 and C14 connectors I just cut a hole and threw in some self tap screws. Then just wired the jumpers for ACN / L and ground, just don't get your N and L wires crossed.
