Man us pot heads r crafty fellows. who says pot burns out brain cells? lol I saw this post on here somewhere: this is your brain this is your brain on drugs. So all i have to do is fry an egg to get high? Nice I'll take a hash omlette please.
 
That is beautiful engineering.. Worthy of atleast 42W cfl's come flowerong.. 26W will be fine for a while yet, and since this setup is going to be perpetual, you'll need to clone and keep a mother under those on extended daylight somewhere else, so you'll need more lights anyways..
For simplicity when mothering time does come, I'd suggest a passive hydroponic wick system (in 50/50 perlite/vermiculite) since you can keep it small, clean and portable, and it could be fed from an underside resevoir like you're already working with..

I have 2 girls now... and that is all I need... but I don't have the heart to git rid of the other 2 just yet... I'm going to give them 1 more day... if they show female I'll keep them... if they don't show, then I will be giving them away... if they show male... well you know.

WOOHOO Congrats on the female.
It's the most suspensful time of any grow waiting for the sex to show.
I bet you're relieved even though you had a fewplants going to give you a good chance.
 
god damn man, this is the most awesome thing i have ever seen. Im on my very first grow, soil, and youve pretty much made a believer out of me that the micro grow is the way to go. I will be picking the shit out of your brain and using this thread as a point of reference for when i start my new grow as soon as my girls(who look more like crackwhores) growing in soil are finished. Thanks a fuckin ton for the inspiration man. You kick ass. Just remember my name so when i end up messagin u to beg you for help, you remember who i am :)

im down to check out as many grow journals as humanly possible, so if you set one up, ill come aboard too. I cant offer mad advise or anything like that, cuz im a n00b, but im learnin more from all of you guys than i am with my own ghetto ass grow. My shit is practically falling apart at the seams ffs. Enough of me though, i aint tryin to thread jack. Im just sayin that you all fuckin kick ass, and i love this site. your all fuckin awesome and mad helpful, especially you wolfie - you got one of the most interesting setups ive seen with this microgrow n it practically made my mind up about what i wanna do with my next grow, im already startin to save up for when this harvest is done. You guys all rock man.

Nice setup fo sho. It is actually very similar to what I have going in a slightly different configuration and I'm holding out on a cabinet.

Even though your plants are already showing sex... I've read that you can sex them early by looking for those little pairs of "spikes" off the main cola. If you see those, that is the bud sight and it is a female, if you don't... idk. We determined that on our last plant and it worked. 1 plant. 1 female. Talk about luck!

Since everyone is asking about these extended periods of darkness... Plants are reactionary (like the word I just made up?) organisms. Their growth and development is based on environmental stimuli. That is what we are doing in our closet grows, manipulating nature. Pot plants are annuals. They veg all summer long and just before winter comes, they bang to make seeds to carry on their legacy. When light is on for extended periods, the plant thinks it is summer and gets big. When the darkness gets longer, the plant responds by flowering so it can produce seeds before the coming winter. Simple enough so far? OK. Here is what we are doing now: The extended period of darkness at the beginning of the flowering cycle makes the plant think winter is coming fast (they can't check the calendar!). The plant responds by flowering more quickly. My friends had to move so they flowered their plant on 8/16 cycle and harvested in about 6 weeks. But there is a trade off. The more hours of light the plant gets, the denser and bigger the buds. I have seen huge buds from an 18/6 cycle. So... more dark= faster buds; more light= more buds.

Hope that helps.
