Will using 3500 watts in a rental house get me busted?

Can I get some help here?? Im thinking of doing 3 or 4 grows in the house with light movers. Do you think I will get busted? And any time on how to not get busted? thanks

We've already answered this question is a previous post he made...I said that if you disperse the light into 2 rooms you should be fine....and yes don't tell anyone...AT ALL!!!!

Yes but im scared of the land lord walking in on it. And even if they do give a days notice, then where would i put the plants and lights ect.? Expecially during flowering.
And that would be, at the least 40kwh per day. Is that too much?

And that's why we don't use rental places...GREAT way to get busted!

I don't know about consumption...it will be expensive though...DON'T STEAL THE POWER...YOU WILL GET CAUGHT!!!!!!

Im thinking if they do give me 24 hour notice then I scramble, take the day off of work, and tear that room down.
I dont know how I would get it all out of there but I will hopefully find a way.

Well considering that it's a rental..i'd say no. If something breaks and they NEED to get in there without you knowing...you're fucked royaly.

Well if they came knocking and wanted to come in... I would be naked with a towel over me and tell them that im not ready and come back in an hour haha.
I've hear about a lot of rental grows, most cops say that 80% of the grows are rental.
I dont want to wait untill I have a house because I might be 40+years.

Then just grow a small amount...maybe 5-6 plants plus a mother...just enough to sustain you and make a few extra $$ on the side.

Be smart about this...would you rather be 40 and have a house? Or would you rather have a record and not ever get a decent job to buy the house?

What if your not there and they come in?...what then?

I donno we will see. Maybe I will live in it for a couple months and do small grows and see how many times the landlord comes to check. And maybe keep 2500w on for 12 hours everyday so no one gets suspicious of the bill going up.

That's still alot of heat...both ways...your going to need some good venting for 2500W of light (taking for granted they're either HPS or MH).

I was thinking more along the lines of 400-600W worth of growing. You could easily get a pound from a 600W.

Ya I know, i've got all of the vent stuff figured out. Woud you have any idea on how many kwh per day venting and fans use, and like everything else except the lights? approx?

I have done it. Grew pounds in an apartment middle floor, tough to control the stink and the temperatures and you are at an extra risk.

Having said that, just run different rooms at differtent times, one room on then the other. As long as you pay your electric bill and control the smell and temps your're golden. Random entry by landlord or whatever is actually rare. You certainly could get busted that way but that would be under unusual curcumstances. Usually nobody entrers your rental until you move.


not from power use as long as the bills are paid in full and on time.
