are you just using fetida or have you added hortensis to the bin?
I'm loving the idea of "set it forget it" with SIPS. The soil almost acts as a time buffer for a low reservoir (DWC dead dead dead). One could even go so far to implement a reserve reservoir with automated watering to replenish the buckets, leaving one more time between maintenance.

@hyroot - With the sip buckets, is your soil so rich that you can go the whole run without adding nutes, or are you feeding the soil or water throughout the grow?

Damn, your plants eat better than I doI have living soil in my sips. Which is a mix of peat moss, pumice, vermicompost, crab shell meal, kelp meal, ahimsa neem cake, fish bone meal, oyster shell flour, and basalt rock dust. . My vermicompost is rich in nutrients too. In my last post I said what I feed the worms.
where do you source the pumice ?![]()

i am going to try the Earthbox SIP its strange as much as I DIY things, i am buying something ready built, wierd ,, but it is a sip,, hope those tomato guys know what they are doing ,, lol
