Just a quick light question

I have a 36" 36" 72" tent with a 400w cool tube HPS light with 4 regular photo period plants and one fem auto I may only turn out to have like 3 plants total because the others are not fem so my odds are pro small anyways my plan is to veg my freebie seeds on a 18/6 while I grow out my auto then the day I harvest my auto I'm throwing the photos on 12/12 my question is can I do my entire grow with my ballest at 50%-75%TOPS if I run it at 100% my tent just gets wayyyy too hot I'm keeping it at 73-77 when I have it at 50% and 79-81 at 75% and that's borderline with a 4" intake fan +A/C in the window right beside it keeping a small room cold

Do you have ducting and a fan attached to the cool tube?

You need a vented exhaust to run that 400w HPS or it's gonna be hot in that tent. Also you cannot run that at lower than 100% in flower or you'll have a crappy yield. Invest in a vented exhaust- a can fan will be fine & I would suggest hooking that to a filter to kill the smell. Then you'll have a solid setup that will produce for you. Keep your temps around 75 if you can- plus I think you are gonna have issue with trying to grow autos alongside reg photo plants - consider adding another grow area and/or vegging under t5 which may not even need venting

Yes reducers and all the fixings to keep it sealed as well because I have a 230cfm fan and carbon filter that's 4" but the cooltube is 6" @$bkbbudz$

HMMM.I have a smaller tent with 400w HID and a 220cfm can fan blowing through the cool tube...temp never goes above 80 degrees.

So do you have your fan blowing the air into the cool tube instead of sucking the hot air out?​

I have a separate set up for odor control. I have a 440 cfm inline fan sucking air out of my tent and pushing it through the filter. You can see the whole set up in my journal ...link in my signature.
