Clone only don't exist?

Ok. Some people talk about clone only strains which I assume can only be grown from clone as they don't seed. Other people are talking about stressing a plant or using super thrive causing it to hermi. So as far as I can see one of these statements is bullshit.
What do you think?

Clone only just means its a clone, from a tested plant that turned out good, but doesn't breed true.

I don't really know anything about Super Thrive but it seems unlikely to me that it would cause undue stress. Isn't it just like vitamins and hormones? Maybe over-use causes stress? I don't know about that one.... I'm sure it's true though that stressing flowering plants can cause them to hermie. What was it you thought was bullshit?

Definition of breed true is the exact opposite,,,,,,,,

A phenotype for a simply-inherited trait is said to breed true if two parents with that phenotype produce offspring of that same phenotype exclusively.
How is the exact phenotype determined?

It's just the female, so it basically means no breeder has hand selected a male, back crossed, stabilized it and etc. Without a set of parents with the same traits you can get a wildcard when you breed it. If you hermie a plant out you get S1 seeds, Selfed 1st generation. These seeds are said to be prone to going hermie. So the breeder needs to grow them out and select a great S1

A lot of great seeds came from S1 seeds but they were bred out, stabilized, hand selected.

except most s1 seeds aren't created by "hermying" a plant out, but rather by spraying said plant with a chemical such as collodial sliver, which prevents the plant from producing ethylyne, the chemical needed for female, pistilllite, flower production, and the plant instead grows male, stamenate, flowers.
