I can't fit much more than 600 grams in my tent, so I guess I'm kind of wasting the 2x315w I have.

I was using a 4x4 tent but only using a turntable about 40" octagon. You would need to attach ducting to something stealth like old tower speaker or ...

I went from 1000 watts hps to 600w hps, sold those, bought 2, 315s, 110 volt... just finished my first grow with the 315s.. Here's two waterfarms a couple days before harvest, first first is Nirvana Blackberry, second is Blue Mystic..... Good example how different strains stretch in flower.. The 315 watt did a good job of reaching the lower buds on the BM...

I can't wait.... delivery of 2-315 cmh's before the end of the day, today. Should of ordered 3....or 4. Oh well, I'll get 4 more next time

I have been doing tons of research in my next lights. First grow just finished and I have been through 4 different lights so far. Now I'm debating, the lec run about 43% efficient and the Cree cob LEDs run around 49% efficient. Those monsters look great twhyt

The 315 lec has a small footprint, so i use one lite, one plant.... The Blackberry yield was 11 oz + about 2 oz of light airy buds..... The BM came in at 14 oz, plus the airy stuff.... The 315w lec, as good as it is as an all round light, doesn't mean you can't do as well with a 430 watt hps... Case in point...

Yes, I've got three tents full of them now.

What prompted you to move away from led and towards the cmh?

Better yields, better penatration of the canopy, and better terps.
The heat from the LEC is much more manageable than I had originally thought, too.

6% more efficient than cmh. 4-5 cents per hour saved energy wise. Think I'll grab a few ceramics and do a two 8 foot long cob bars for the sides. That would be intense.

Maybe.

Have you quantified the yield increase?

Enough to notice the difference. Sorry, I don't weigh my crops, but I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of at least an extra half ounce or more, per plant.

The light that the LECs put out is beautiful. Everytime I go to the hydro store, I marvel over how pretty all the shit they're growing looks.
