Goji OG & Sunshine Daydream Help

Well thanks to the wonderful people at Great Lakes Genetics and the AMAZEBALLS 4/20 promo i have 15 packs of each to pheno hunt through, over the last several weeks i've tried to sift through all the grows and info I could and since they seem to be his more popular strains there is A LOT, unfortunately like all stoner threads they seem to go off point a lot...its all dank i'm sure, but we all like different things in our greenery buzzes....i will already be on the lookout for that special lady that spits out pounds from a 21w CFL.. ha! Will i find enough variance in high/taste/yeild to keep more than one pheno, or am I looking for a specific pheno considered to be "the best" (ie.."Butter Cut for SSDD") which is what i've read only so don't know how true that statement is...like i said i've read A LOT but sometimes a direct question is easier to navigate through! Appreciate any help anyone can provide thanks! 165 beans should be enough to find what I'm looking for and what everyone else is saying to look for

You are going to have a lot more then 1 keeper out of each that is for sure. And for phenos it is going to depend on what you like really. Like for the Goji's some phenos will have some very berry flavors and grow pretty OG like dense nugs while others will have some earthy OG dank smell with no berrys, or even some that smell like Sharpies etc. Many are the same quality, it just depends on what you are after really. For the SSDD, I think the Butter Cut is what a lot of guys look for because it has a lot of hype.. but some people that have found it said it wasn't as good as some of the other phenos they found. Again, it just depends on what you like. I believe there are a lot of Berry phenos, some that taste like Buttered Blueberry muffins but not straight butter, and of course some straight butter phenos which are more rare but you will probably run into a couple with 15 packs. And some phenos that have more of a chem funk to them and not quite as much sweetness. Most will be pretty branchy and produce many tops.

I don't know as much about these crosses as most guys do but I do know a little bit from research, and growing a couple. Wish I could pop 15 packs of each.. that'd be nuts. You will have some serious fire sorting through 80 girls from each strain. I bet there will be at least 5-10 from each strain that you won't be able to toss. And I am sure you could probably find 20 keepers or more from each strain considering that is 1 out of 4 phenos... and SSDD and Goji aren't really known to produce bad phenos. If you plan on growing all of these out, PLEASE for all of our sakes and other people looking for the same info as you PLEASE post pictures and descriptions of the phenos you find from each.

will do my best...gonna run them through the gauntlet of stresses and mediums...won't be keeping any males as there are far to many beans to pop in the world..by the end i plan on keeping 3 or 4 of each providing the variety is good...we shall see! thx for the reply doc!

Wow, you got your stuff back super fast. Hopefully mine will be coming soon. As of yet I have gotten nothing from GLG to say they have received my payments (although tracking shows both have made it to PO BOX) or to say they are sending anything out.

strange brew were my 3 preference but i am easy to please and said send anything not outdoor only..i will say that is way more freebies then i expected...looks like i will be busy to at least the next 420...i will randomly pop.those alongside the main show a few at a time..tho a solid blueberry with the lotus frost might be something special around these parts...now where are those plans to turn my house into 1 giant carbon filter....

stupid question but all bodhi gear is f1 correct? might want to f2 the goji and was curious..

I figured you would have gotten a little more variety in the Freebies since they had tons of different ones.. but those are some great choices. Specifically the Wolf Pack and Blueberry Snow. I'd love to have a nice Blueberry pheno from the Blueberry snow myself. I have a couple packs of the Wolf Pack, but wish I had more since that is a cross I think has major potential for some rotten Chem Funk.

And yup, as far as I know almost all of Bodhi's gear is F1s. He does have some lines that use F2 or F3 as a mom I believe but he usually always lists it if so. Like the Apollo F4's, or Lemon Thai F3's, or Chocolate Trip F2's, etc. But 99% of his gear is F1s with most being his Appy, Snow Lotus, or G13hp daddy. And now more recently the Wookie & SSDD as a dad.

As for Goji F2,s you will find some magic in those trust me. There have been a lot of people make F2's of Goji, even B himself and found some very wonderful plants in there. I can't remember exactly waht Bodhi said about the F2's but I know he really encouraged it and said there would be amazing stuff in there, possibly even better then the F1s. What you should do is pick about the best 10-20 girls, and the best 5-10 boys you find and make F2's of them. That way it isn't the whole line of 80 girls and 80 boys.. it is only the top 10% of those. But at the same time, it isn't just 1-2 of the best plants that bottleneck it since you'd have 5-10 of each to let more genes into the genepool.

I've grown a pack of each (a few F2 ssdd), and they were both winners. Little more variation in the Gogi from what I saw, but all nice with the exception of one I didn't care for.

i generally have terrible luck..so i got that many to find those 4 or 5 you cant do without....my bad luck in this scenario...i will probably hit what i want right away and have 13 packs to trade! seriously tho i am looking for a standout stud from each. i plan on running bodhi for a long time...always a fan favorite

As far as the freebies...well I've realized I approach seed popping like leveling up in a video game...trying to find that great "rare" item....and I want to be able to min/max the attributes...(you gamer nerds know what i'm talking about) i'm bound to hit that 1 cut that makes people say hmmmmmmmmm....lets buy you that 100 acre farm If i hit that real deal BB pheno I will charge you a beer and a couch to crash on for it DoctorFrost!

So as I was racking my brain trying to figure out which strain to start off with I started looking at the packs, and i have to say 1 thing right off the jump...I LOVE HOW BODHI COUNTS!! of course at least 11 beans per pack, but 2 of my SSDD have 15 beans...wewt so maybe thats an omen or something...I will pop those 30 first, also got a boat load of bad dawg genetics freebies from GLG that i may run a pack of also to get an even round 40 beans started...(White Dawg x LBL) if anyone is curious, since I got hooked up with a LOT of extra stuff I will do a seperate journal for Bad Dawg..is it weird the bodhi lighters are more prized to me than the seeds?
