Cuttings keeps on dying, help!

Hi, I have problem regarding taking cuttings.

I use a Nutriculture x-stream aerosystem for cuttings.
I've done the 45 degree cut when taking cuttings, sterelized knife, dipped in root hormones, placed in root-it plugs, humidity at 80+.

I've thought when using the sprinkler on from start that the system will overwater the cuttlings.
It have happend before (atleast what I think) but at the same time, my first cuttings I ever did I used the sprinklers from start and my other two attempt it failed, so im not really sure if that's the problem?

So what I did now was placing the cutting in the system without the system on, keeping the humidity up at 80% with the plugs really moist. They been in there for little more that a week now. Still no root developing...now that are starting to look like this and slowly dying.

What am I doing wrong?

Too much light is probably what is killing them I use very little light and my clones take up to a month in colder water in my diy aero cloner, no dome. Neoprene cloning collars shouldn't be kept wet on purpose from the top otherwise roots will grow through them. Also don't feed them you want them to grow roots in search of food. Basically almost starve them of light, completely starve them of food but keep temps 75-78. They should remain looking fairly healthy most times showing defeciences in the lowest leaves if they look like they are starving foilar feed.

Read my post called purple gray discolor clones. I'm having same purple crap on my clones and they are in riot root plugs. We look to have same issue in deffierent media. Let's figure this out together! I've been cloning for five years with no problems until last summer, and now I've had probably four trays kill off on me....so bummed!

I run mine 18/6 under a 60w CFL pig tail that is almost 2 foot above and angles slightly away. Light isn't your problem because we have same discolor on our clones and I know my light isn't too much

Yeah I found that wierd to. The majority of the threads/guides i've read they say to give them much light.
But at the same time, doesnt the plant develope more roots when it "sleeps"? It sounds like it would make more sense.

I did, on all of them. Worked first time I did it.

ive read folks saying you don't need much light, but I used 3 cfls a few feet above my tray for years with no problem. I went down to one a few rounds ago as a troubleshoot to no avail. I also used to run 24/0 or 20/4 and found 18/6 got me roots quicker and gave the bulb a break. I also have some dipped in clonex and others in rooting powder. Same results. Had a heating mat for years as well but found recently that it was running over 100 degrees so that could def be a problem. I bought a thermostat recently and hooked it up and it stays at 78 or whatever I want. Seems to be great, no excess heat. Still dead purple clones. I also never used a dome until last round because thought maybe that was problem. Nope. Craziness, I cloned 100's of cuts for years without blinking an eye. Now I haven't had one survive in the last 100.

Scraping is the only thing I haven't changed on last few rounds so that's really my last trouble shoot before I give up...lol

Its either a poor cloning method or RH too high for too long. Try just a couple days under a dome then no dome and cut the fuckin sprinklers to avoid the tips rotting like that.

Too much light literally, not light hours. I do recommend 24/0 if you are having trouble keeping water temps up because water temp is very important. You know how if 1 plant gets huge it blocks all the light from a smaller plant, then that smaller plant will stretch to get some light. That's how much light I want on your cloner and no more then that. We want to inspire the plant to stretch, but in order to stretch it needs to release a hormone to grow roots because there is no food present.

Don't use 0 ppm water if you have Reverse Osmosis add in some epsom salt. 0 ppm water will leach nutrients back out of the cuttings.

Light isn't causing that mold. Most large scale producers have hundreds of t5/t8's in rooms, just inches above their domes. Especially the fact he said he has his in a bathroom. Unless your bathroom lamp is a HID, I think we have a different problem

I have almost a 100% success rate with my cuttings. The process I see used all the time with the high heat and humidity is not what I do. I super crop a main branch that has a lot of side branching, I take my cuttings do the angle cut but also split it just a tiny bit and shave very little from the outside of the stalk at the base, then I'll place it straight into a cup of ph'd water with some rapid root mixed in for about 20-30 minutes then dip in hormone again before I plant. After that I use a round tray to place them on that I can keep a little standing water in. Each one goes into a 30cc med cup with a hole for drainage and I pack dirt as tight as I can around the stalk at the base, keep it around 70 degrees in a well vented area and always wet until you see roots then keep them moist not saturated. I use 1-2 5000k CFL's about 6-8" away from the plants. Usually depending on the strain I see roots anywhere from day 3-5. Cookies I've noticed takes a lot longer for example some take up to two weeks! After they root I go straight to a solo cup which you could then go straight to your cloner tht you have or hydro system. When I water my clones that haven't rooted or have rooted, I use just plain ph'd water with the rapid root. I've had one cutting out of the last 50 not make it Bc it was just too small didn't hardly have any stalk on it when I took it I didn't even wanna use it I just did to see what would happen. After 1 week of roots feed! Bc it was a branch that was getting full feeding and it will be hungry! Lol hope this helps. I do use tap water and also run 18/6 all the way until bloom obviously lol. Seedlings I run 24/0 for 2 weeks then when the hit veg straight to 18/6. Clones automatically on 18/6 rooted or not.

Also I forgot to add, that browning looks to be from maybe the solution being too cold, or it's lacking something and is becoming deficient. Res temps should be around 68 if you're having trouble regulating that get a fish heater and you can just throw it in there and monitor. You don't want the water too warm Bc oxygen will decrease and nutes/oxygen are able to be used more effienciently in cooler temps

I don't ever use a dome, I would keep the light high and a fan blowing gently on them to circulate the air and you should be golden. If they're dropping they're probably too warm a dome always caused me problems. And as far as constant water, yes I would personally run it the whole time. I have friends that use the cloners and have them running constant.

I use a 2ft T5 on 18/6 light cycle. Cut at a 45 degree angle, and throw the clones in my milk jug fill with tap water. Roots in 7 days. No bubbler, no gel, no nothing. I learn this method by accident. I left some cutting in my water jug oneday after I was finish cloning (extra clones). A week later...oh shit!! They still alive..and they rooted!! WTF?? Sometime kepoing it simple us the key. Our father and his buddies never had no aeroponic cloner in the 60's lol. Hell, I've heard of people cutting clone and root it on their widow ledge.
