I don't understand why the logic is so tough for you to grasp. Two people of the same level of cognitive development having sex with each other is a much different psychological experience than two people of different levels of cognitive development having sex with each other is. There are differences in the power dynamic, and how the act will shape that dynamic. There are differences in the physical experience, and on the effects that will have. It's not about age and arbitrary numbers, it's about development level, mentally and physically, and it's not just with sex. Would you be okay with a 12 year old and a 32 year old boxing? Or what about playing football? Would you be okay with a team of 12 year olds playing football against a team of adults? There are many things that are acceptable and appropriate to do with peers that it is not appropriate to do with people much older than you, and sex is no different.

Being physically capable of something and being emotionally prepared for something are two entirely different things. The brain takes much longer to finish developing than the body does. To ignore that is willful ignorance in the service of justifying the unjustifiable.

There are lots of important distinctions and so many differences between individual children that it is not possible to come up with one age where sex is ok yet another age when it is not.

Disclaimer before the idiots start accusing me of things. I dont think I would be interested in having sex with anyone under at least 25 at this stage of my life.
We allow too much government intervention in our lives. We allow the government to tell us when we can have sex, with who, and under what circumstances, they tell us what we can and cant put in our bodies and how we are allowed to feel and not feel, they prevent us from making unencumbered contracts with employers and employees, etc, etc, etc...
