dude that light is not even similar to the design of the ns fixture. go to their site and look it up. if there were permanent eye hooks that i could clip a carabiner and chain to I would have. there are no mount points like that on the ns, just a system of tiny holes in the side of the unit to accommodate their hanging brackets. kind of messed up that the ns doesn't have dedicated mount points like their higher end lights.
Yeah you have a point in that it would have been very helpful if illumitex had bothered to send a similar video relevant to the ns hanging system.

Thanks for beating me to it with this walking waste of skin. It's the 21st century, there's no reason at all why this can't be a great hobby for 'disabled' people. I have a feeling some great innovations come from folks just trying to solve their mobility/access/enjoyment problems.

Okay, guess it's just as well that you sent it back and got a refund anyway, since there's lots of better options. Sorry if I seemed rude before, just seemed like figuring out a way to hang a light shouldn't be an impossibility. Maybe in this case it was, idk. You shouldn't be paying more than $2 a watt for preassembled LED grow lights these days, so it was overpriced.

Here's how you hang that kind though. Same thing, hooks through holes. If the gold things are the brackets you meant then you could have made some with coat hangers and pliers.

that video just shows it hangin there.. not how to hang it. even so, based on their specs the hardware is different on those higher end 4x4 models. the higher end models appear to have a similar triangular metal hanger, but it seems to actually fasten in with some kind of brass/copper fitting.

It's one of the main reasons I'm here.

I'm sure there aren't a lot of growers who used to sell cigars- but I'll tell you, selling THOSE motherfuckers made me feel like a drug pusher! Cannabis is medicine, relaxation and recreation.

And I'm completely serious about the innovative things people do to deal with their 'disabilities'. I use quotes because everyone's challenges are different and there are no hard and fast categories. Between information technology and advances in distributed or even in home production and manufacturing, I see huge potential for the expansion of human mobility.

Just for example, who better to design and build exoskeletal machinery for all kinds of purposes than those who need them most?

sure man, 3 of my friends (2 have construction experience) took the lights out of the box for me and tried to hang them up. they thought it would take like 5 minutes, but it turned out to be pretty much impossible with what was included. they took these photos while they tried to figure it out.
here's a photo of one of the brackets where it was impossible for both ends to fit at the same time:


the brackets that did line up only inserted a quarter inch or less into the mount holes, and required intense counter pressure to stay in:


here are the brackets themselves, it's probably be easier to see from another angle, but the hooks at the end are canted slightly backwards and the end is just a straight 1/2"(estimate) prong at sharp v angle:

More like you wasted 2 months just because of stupid brackets. There's a thing called hardware stores. They're swimmin' in brackets. OMG, you sent a perfectly good light back because of the brackets? Hope you found it easier than going to a hardware store. Coulda just wrapped some goddamn cable ties around it and hung it from them. Brackets are just not a deal breaker on a $2400 sale. Those Illumitex F series look sweet too. You done screwed up bad this time. You had them right in your hands and you sent them away. WTF dude?

The unit could have been hung by anyone with the slightest handyman skills. Now, a bunch of complete simps, yeah, that would stump them. This is quite possibly the dumbest thread I've seen lately, sending back a perfectly functional light because neither you nor anyone you know could manage to figure out how to hang it. Here's some parting advice; don't buy any furniture from Ikea.

I would have snaked some tie wire through there..I lost my triangle hangars on a couple lights n had to make my own...but I would be pissed too if I ordered a light that cost 1400 and had to do that...hopefully the OP gets taken care of .
