Ginger root uses?

Crazy idea or not? Will the antibiotic, antifungus properties of ginger root be effective in soil to help cannabis roots? I've tried 1 table spoon of shredded ginger boiled for 1/2 hour. Strained it and mixed it with enough ph balanced water to saturate my J1 plant's soil. No ill effects, no wilting. May help kill gnat larva and/or lessen the root rot they cause.

Anyone else have experience using ginger in cannabis applications?

true, but "seems" sounds like an assumption, so you won't know till you try (small cup, lil soil, ging, and see what happens.. or not) --also, not all molds are the same, its easy to judge mold based on their appearance.. anyways do as you wish~

I say it "seems" because I've tried raw bananas bits mixed in soil and they molded within 3 days. So its not completely unfounded. I dont know if ginger would work the same way.

My worms get a lot of ginger. I kinda feel like it is one of my best ingredients for producing really high quality bud. I can't prove that though and don't care to disprove it. :roll:

How about letting a small ginger root grow with a plant? No rotting, but still gingerness that bugs may not like ...:confused:
