Never tried it, don't know anyone that even knows somebody that tried it...or even saw it for that matter.
Heard stories but that's all they where, stories. So why/how does it get its name? Does it have a hint of garlic or does it have the full funk? Or some other reason?

It was an old Afghanica strain that Neville had back in the early 80's. It didn't exactly smell like garlic but definitely had a pretty raunch stench too it. Wasn't the most potent of bud but for an afghani it yielded really well.

So why bring it back? X it with something? I guess if you don't try you'll never know....
The only way to get it now is through Sensi seed bank, it's part of their shiva shanti cross. I dunno man, it doesn't appeal to me personally but hey, I'd grow it if it was given to me!

I'd try it sounds interesting enough I did read some shit from Nevil a while back about the Garlic Bud but she's gone like Road Kill Skunk.
Yep, that's it. The RKS is a bit different though, it was some pretty powerful weed, one hit wonder type stuff but it literally stunk so bad that it was hard for people to grow it. I'm going to be trying to get it back very soon, I've got the 2 strains that it was apparently made from...or so I've been told, by Shanti anyway!

Garlic Bud!......ahhhhhhhh(sigh)
My friends back in Pa were growing this beautiful lady back in the mid-late 90's. If myself memory serves me at all.
This one was not indica, though!
Mostly sativa, as the one I saw was outdoor, about 15ft tall, and yielded a little more than a pound!
Which is huge for Bush growing back then!
Most beautiful tight buds, very good resin, and bud color. The smell was garlicky in a sense, but not like a clove of garlic, but more like essence mixed with an spice/incense. Tasted pretty much the same, which was awesome, and had a strong smell of incense in the air when smoked!
Very potent, with a skunk kinda high, more in the eyes with dry mouth. Just a great strain!
I think it originally did come from sensi, but from some time ago. Not sure if it is even same strain?

But Ky this is probably more like the one your friend is asking about, but let's me know?
I personally who like to have this one.

A few people are coming on and saying they have it. There is a breeder by the name of Skunkwerks he's supposed to have it. Posts on IG and the farm haven't looked at IG yet but no pics of RKS on there but he says he has it. Keep hearing tho there are some people with it just on lockdown like crazy. I think the Skunkwerks breeders tells his story of how he got the RKS

When you guys say RKS, what do you mean?? I don't think I've ever been to a concert in Philly and not smelled what was exactly like a skunk sprayed.....except we know it wasn't a skunk. You want something rare over here, we are talking OG's, but shit that smells exactly like a skunk....not too hard to find. I keep reading about RKS, and I wonder what people mean. What makes it RKS instead of just skunk? whats the difference?

It was originally super skunk and the way you knew it was ready to chop was when it went from a stinky sweetish skunk smell to that foul skunk spray stench. It literally smelt like 2 week old, middle of summer, road kill...
