Need expert advice on curing and jaring

Hello guys

My plant is on week 4 of flowring and i have to harvest it in 10 days i know its early but im travilling for 2 weeks and i have no choice. the problem is i have only 5 days to dry and jar my buds and bcz i dont completely understand curing and have no previous experience with it i would like you to tell me the best way to get the most of these 5 days. Should i hang it to dry for 5 days and jar it then keep it in thefridge? Or how else would i keep it safe from mold. I will not be there to open the jars every day

The temp in my area is 43-32c and humidity around 60%

Roocky are you the guy who was asking about finishing them early in another thread because your going away?
If you are you said it would not be safe to leave your CFLs on and go away. I don't see a problem with leaving your lights unattended, especially CFL, I would really not want to chop so early, especially if you are going to jar it half dried.
Personally I would be looking at setting up some autopots or something like that to water while you are away.
If you really really don't want to leave them alive then chop if you must and hang up to dry, leave them while you are gone and jar when you get back. If you Jar them half dried and don't burp them you will come home to jars full of mould. Then you have wasted all your time and effort.
At week 4 there is hardly anything to dry compared to week 8

I would chop them the last day before you leave. Trim major leaves off. Hang them in a dark place with some air circulation. Hope for the best. You can always reintroduce moisture via jarring cure.

If there's security issue with the smell of them hanging around? You can bag them in Ziploc, put them in the freezer, and make canna-oil when you get back.

Sounds way to early though. You may have barely any THC production in them?

There is a tool available that would help ya ,,,, got $50 ?

Agromax's Pure UV T5 bulb and a single bulb fixture

will finish a plant fast if left on, here is a Kali Mist at 4 weeks before and after just 10 hours of Pure UV. and is with the bulb 3 feet off the canopy. Trics went 80% amber and all pistils went red

I would chop them down, hang them for 3 days, and then do the paper sack method, where you place the buds still on the stems, cut into managable lengths,,, and lay them into a paper sack then fill above that layer with shredded paper sack pieces, and the make another layer, and then more shreds, keep doing this about 3/4 way up the bag then roll the top over,, make as many bags as you need too,,, sound like you will only need one,,
then you leave it on your trip, when you get back your buds will be dry and ready to smoke, the rest can be put in jars, the paper sack will keep it from drying to quickly, but still allow air to escape and save you from possible mold issues,,

Yes im the guy who asked few days ago. Unfortunately, leaveing the plant while im gone is not an option trust me i know how hot my room will get without AC
I read that if you dry your buds enough you can keep them cool in the fridge and when you take them out they will still the same isnt that correct ?

If they are going to smell a lot i think it is going to be a problem. I have a big wooden box do u think hanging them for 5 days and the hang them in the box for 2 weeks temp40c hr66% would rot them ?

Maybe it is correct, theres a million things I have not tried. It just didn't seem a good idea when I read your post. I suppose though it been cool has got to be better than In jars at room temp half wet.

Thanks a lot fox this sounds like a good plan but do you think it will still not rot in 40 dgree c ?

that is pretty hot,, so i would hang them 3 days, then Bag them 3 days , and then put the bags in the refridgerator, i am in agreement with you,, you do what you have to do to save what ever buds you can and still make your trip

I thought so if i set my fridge at 8c i think it will not affect it too much. It may make it taste bad but it will not ruin it

Do you think it is better to store them in the fridge in bag or jar?

Ya can't store them in the fridge mate. That will cause your buds to get moldy and if ya smoke it will give ya the worst headache you've every had. We already went over this. At best what ya can do is dry them and cure them in a jar. Put a little humidity pack in their to control it while yer gone and voila you're done.
