So like a dumbass I was trying to shove a big chunk of ice into a glass jar with water in it... The jar exploded and cut me up pretty good..took me 20 minutes to duct tape my hands to stop the heavy bleeding... Nothing major on my right hand, few cuts but left Palm took a big gash.. Pain doesn't really bother me but my thumb and index finger are numb... I do not have insurance- the last thing I wanna do is go to an ER@ 2 am here and I don't even know where one is TBH... Is this common and heal on own or do I Really need a M.D...

Absolutely, Corso. Go to the ER right away. That sounds like nerve damage, you may need some surgery, or at least stitches. I went through a car window on my bike years ago, and cut up my hands and wrists good. My left hand went numb from minor nerve damage, but they were able to fix me up 100%. I didn't have insurance, either, and couldn't pay the bill. It's off your credit in 7 years or so, but it's your hands, man...

if you are concerned about the cost, don't bring an ID. give a fake name and address(make sure you can remember them) the admissions dept won't like that, but it is illegal to refuse you emergency medical care for ANY reason. get a tetanus shot when you are there. just straight up sutures aren't that expensive, and they'll want to do xrays since there's a possibility you might have glass in the wounds. you are looking at about a 1000-1300 bill.

So fucked you've got to ask whether or not to go get treated because your lack of 'insurance', Corso. You should be able to get treated anytime, anywhere regardless of your finances bruv!

Like all said. Go to the ER. They can't refuse to treat you. When the bills arrive just throw them out. With my disabilities I get plenty of people begging me to pay the doctor. There isn't a need to. Avoid bill collector calls and you will be fine. They say they will take you to court. They can't. You don't want to have hand troubles and crops to cut do you?

Go to the DR. I crushed some fingers building a rock wall 2 years ago, my index split open and they both went numb, I didn't think much about it, they still worked street a couple days. Now my left index finger is mostly numb from the second knuckle and my middle finger, just the tip. Doing any fine work that requires feeling sucks now. I work on cars alot and without that feeling is impossible to get screws/nuts started by feel. A few grand in hospital books is nothing compared to losing even partial use of your hands.

I've always avoided the DR. I'm partially blind in one eye, wrist and neck is fucked from car accidents, fingers are numb, oneknee pops out from dislocating it a couple times, one knee the cartilage is already disintegrating. All things I never got medical attention for, except the eye, and I've stopped going for checkups on that. I'm only 37...I'm so fucked as I get older.

super glue the cuts and walk it off
I've superglued some bad cuts before. My boss at the last place had a fit when he found me gluing a big flap of skin back on my thumb, I filleted from the base of the nail about 1.5" back over the knuckle on an endmill. That asshat made me go to the ER where I sat for 4 hours just to get a couple stitches. I keep a suture kit in my toolbox now, I'll just stitch it up myself.
